“Lovely, well managed chalet in great location.” We had a great week in the chalet, the chalet was well looked after by the management company who were very quick to help out when we needed anything. The wifi and sauna was a bonus. It is worth mentioning that the chalet is not on a road so you have to carry your luggage 20 metres or so which is a little tricky if there is a lot of snow but not a huge problem unless someone in your group has any mobility issues or you have very young children. One of the upstairs bedrooms is very spacious and we were able to move one of the beds from another room into that one to create a family room. The other upstairs bedroom is on the landing with no door between the downstairs and is also a walk through to the master bedroom so not all that private or quiet. This again was spacious. The third bedroom downstairs had the only double bed but was a smaller room. My parents found the beds hard and the matresses thin, however the younger smaller members of the party did not experience this ;) The kitchen area is small but we managed to cook some simple meals on the little hob, there is a toaster, kettle, decent sized fridge and freezer compartment and a limited selection of cooking utensils and we managed to get by with these. Location wise you are a short walk down the hill away from the gondola and off a side road. The walk in fairly flat at the bottom of the slopes and very peaceful away from the main bars but with the benefit of having bars and supermarkets within a minutes walk. We can recommend Sunny's bar and the Happy Duck which are both very close and Mamacianas mexican for some great lunch deals. We had a really great week here - thanks!

“High quality all round accomodation for large fanilies & groups” Chalet Sinchets in the Chamkoria complex is an ideal location if you want high quality accommodation in peaceful surroundings away from the hustle & bustle of the main resort. We had 6 adults & 3 children in our party and had plenty of room throughout the chalet. The daily transfers were excellent & drop you off at your ski station. They are available every 15mins from 7.30am to until 7.30pm, enabling a trip to the resort at night for those who want a livelier experience. A £10 taxi for the return journey after this time, got us back safely. We found the quality & price of Bulgarian food inconsistent in the resort, so take recommendations from others. However, the Chamkoria complex restaurant & bar was some of the best food we had, and reasonably priced. If you want to eat in, the chalet is well equipped with everything you'll need to cook a full meal and a table that seats 8 easily. You'll need to get supplies from the resort or local town of Samokov, as the complex mini market is quite limited. The taxi cost £20 for the return journey to Samokov, and you easily save that money compared to the resort prices. Also consider a Bulgarian night in Samokov. We had a brilliant time and it's as cheap as chips. £20 per head for 5 courses, unlimited local alcohol & a return taxi to the complex. We made good use of the pool & spa facilities, & the massages are a bargain compared to UK. The only let down was the hot tub was not working throughout our weeks stay. The complex staff, although didn't speak very good English, understood us ok and were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. They even put up a real Christmas tree with decoration in the chalet, which the children loved. Overall excellent.

“Good skiing and accommodation, excellent value for money.” Holidaying with friends, all staying within the same apartment block, we had a great time. The accommodation was good, with everything you need for a weeks skiing...comfortable bed, a range of cooking facilities, ensuite shower room and sufficient storage space for a family of three. The swimming pool and hot tub were an added bonus, particularly enjoyable after a day on the slopes. Bamako offered a range of skiing that suited all abilities; everyone was catered for in both skiing and snowboarding. We found some great places to eat at very reasonable prices. Local shops sold a limited range of food items at moderate to high prices, there is not the same availability that we are used to in the UK. However, by bringing some essentials from the UK and planning meals before departing it is easy to compensate for this. Alternatively eating out is cheap enough. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would definitely return, it was a great place to ski with friends.

“Fantasic apartment in a fantastic location” To get to the Royal Plaza from Sofia airport takes around 40 minutes. I have been going back to Borovets now for 5 years and to the same Royal Plaza apartment. Set in a fantastic central location you are close to all you will need for your stay. Upon my 2nd time in Borovets I felt like I had 'come home'! There is plenty of choice in places to eat and lots of bars to have fun in. The Royal Plaza is very well run and has a supermarket below as well as a ski hire shop. The Apartment is lovely, very clean, and modern with all the essentials. More than adequate for 4 people it has a lovely balcony over looking the centre of the town and being an end apartment it has views of the sounding area! The apartment owners are more than accommodating and will help with all your requests to the best of their ability and can sort out airport transfers on request. Its only a 2 minutes walk (and thats not a a lie) to the gondola, the mountain is so beautiful and so quite, its a hidden gem! Good for all levels of skiers and snowboarders and best of all its cheap and definitely not last , cheerful....I will be back for more in March 2012!
“Snowboarding trip to Bansko” Very nice apartment in an ideal location. The gondola is literally 5 minutes walk from the apartment. Clean warm and nicely furnished and it comfortably slept the 5 of us. Restaurants, supermarket and ski shops all within 5 minutes walk from the apartment as well. Michael was very helpful with recommending where to eat and how to get from Sofia to Bansko. I highly recommended staying at this apartment and I will definitely be looking at returning next year for another great time!
