“FANTASTIC STAY!!” Me and my partner have returned to Budapest to enjoy our vacation from work. As I'm familiar with Budapest and its lofts, I was looking for something more "homie" and with the comforts of home. When I have decided to book, I have contacted the loft's owner, Monika Lautner, and I have discovered a truly nice and genuine person whom was more than happy to assist us with providing out needs!
The stay was amazing, and we've enjoyed it very much! It was close to everything we needed and the price was excellent! I highly and warmly recommend it to anyone, single or family who wish to explore Budapest with a warm place to stay with all the facilities needed and more.
“Purr.....fect!” This apartment is in a fabulous location for those wishing to explore this delightful city. It is clean, comfortable and offers everything one needs from a well designed kitchen to a sumptuous soak in the corner bath to banish those aches away . You could, if desired, cook a roast dinner! However, with the vast choice of eateries available why bother! Cafe Kor is No 17 Sas Utca and well worth a visit to. For those with a hearty appetite try the Sir Lancelot Restaurant for something very different!
Transfers are stress free, Janos collected us from the airport and although his English is limited he kindly pointed out various landmarks and is very helpful, please be patient and take the time to speak slowly and he will understand. The owner, Alistair is charming and well organised.
Budapest is a lovely place, steeped in history there is much to see and do. If you are into sightseeing and walking this is the place to visit and the apartment is the best place to do it from. Enjoy - we did!
The exciting and beautiful capital city of Hungary has a lot of offer and makes for a great city break for all ages.
Book your next holiday rental in Budapest and explore the two historic halves of the city, separated by the scenic Danube River.
Budapest was once two separate cities: Buda in the west, and Pest in the east; but has long since come together as one great metropolis, intersected by the river. Locally, things are often still referred to as belonging to Buda if on the west side of the river, or Pest if located on the east.
Packed with interesting cultural landmarks and beautiful parks and scenery, there's a lot to see and do here, so it's sure to please just about everyone.
What to do
The thermal baths are the ideal stop for a pampering treat. Head to any public thermal baths and enjoy a soak in the natural heated mineral waters.

There's a pretty old-fashioned ticket validating system on public transport. Make sure you get your ticket punched before boarding, as fines can be fairly massive.

Budapest Aldebaran Apartment
Best stay in a capital ever
The location of the apartment is excellent; half way the main street of Budapest. With main street we mean MAIN street. Close by is a supermarket and plenty of cafes and restaurants. Our landlord recommended a number of restaurants and clubs and they were without exception all excellent. Menza, a restaurant around the corner of our apartment was absolutely amazing. And last but not least, the apartment was excellent; 3 separate rooms with double beds; a brand new bathroom and all utilities were available. The actual location of the apartment - on the ground floor in a court yard was very local - we loved it! …

This apartment was a magical and authentic place like no other. It was very clean , very cozy with everything we needed. Everywhere you looked there was something wonderful to discover. Filled with history and character. The host was extremely friendly and welcoming. The location is incredible with a very nice cafe just downstairs. I would recommend this place to anyone going to Budapest and definitely stay there myself again. …
2BR/2BA, A/C ❤ LUXURIOUS SUITE WITH GRAND LOCATION AND CITY VIEW!
Well situated apartment.
Positives- Tom the owner was a great communicator before the holiday and organised taxi transfers which were competively priced and very reliable. The accommodation is very well situated and we were able to walk to most attractions if you are not a great walker the public transport nearby is excellent. The apartment has everything you will need close by. The apartment was clean and well equipped. Very comfortable beds. We went together as two couples and each couple had their own toilet/shower facilities.Tom welcomed us to the apartment and explained the lay out of Budapest and places to visit/eat etc.
Negatives- We had selected the apartment as it was described as quite and I am a poor sleeper under normal circumstances it would have been quite but a large building facing the apartment is being restored and the building works started at 7.30 every morning and continued to around 4.30 in the afternoon. This work looks like it is a fairly long term project. In some ways apart from the very early start it was not too bad as the weather was excellent while we were there and we were out a lot but if we had to stay in the apartment it was really noisy. Also the air conditioning is not great and being on the top floor of the building the rooms get very warm when the weather is good. The stairways that go up to the rooms have a strong smell of gas and I found this unnerving but Tom assured me they were checked regularly by the gas officials …
Charming and quiet apartment
The apartment is lovely, clean and well kept on the fourth floor of an older block away from the bustle of the city in a more quiet, local area. It is a short walk from Timor Utca HEV train line that connects with the metro through the city, there are buses and trams nearby too. We can recommend buying a travel pass to get around everywhere. You can also easily head north to Szentendre on HEV for a beautiful day out. The apartment has shops and supermarkets near by. A great base to explore beautiful Budapest. Palatinus Strand baths on Margrit Island are superb and the small Goldberger textile museum on the next street is very interesting. A great stay and really helpful owner. …
Lux New Renovation in the Centre
Spacious, clean and extremely comfortable apartment with all the amenities you need for any length of stay & Lidl supermarket nearby for any bits you need. The apartment is in a fantastic location in Budapest and so easy for walking or catching the bus to explore the city. Train station is also only a few minutes away and we left our luggage in the lockers there on our final day as recommended by Pj. There are plenty of bars & restaurants to choose from. Myself & 2 friends had a 4 night break and thoroughly enjoyed it. Did the hop on hop off bus touring the city, river cruise, thermal baths & even took the train to Bratislava in Slovakia seeing other parts of Hungary we had not expected to see on our break. Highly recommend both the apartment and Budapest and would definitely like to do a return visit at some point. …
