“Fabulous property with great attention to detail; perfect location; ideal for family with children.” We took our children aged 6 & 11 years for a short break at the end of the Easter holidays. We used the Newhaven to Dieppe ferry which is a steal at this time of year. Our son, Ben, is studying WW2 this year in history, and having visited the WW1 sites last Easter, we thought he would find the D-Day landing beaches interesting. The house is part of the Pierre Vacance complex ( with swimming pools)and is in a wonderful location on a golf course ( used to film part of Saving Private Ryan). It was quiet being just after the school holidays - but we really enjoyed the peacefulness and had several days when it was warm enough to sit on the patio and walk on the beach. David and Lynda have equipped the house with lots of lovely touches such as historical books; games; DVDs and a wealth of information about the area - so we were not short of things to see and do and embarked on a living history lesson! The house is compact but very comfortable and spotlessly clean and we hope to return again soon to see the things we didn't manage this time. I thoroughly recommend this property.
