The "Olivo" apartment (sleeps 5+2, 86 sqm) is composed of a living room with fireplace and a comfortable sofa-bed, a fully equipped kitchenette, a double bedroom, a triple bedroom (one double bed and one single bed), two bathrooms with shower and hairdryer.
It is part of Podere Pietreta which is a large, old house from the 1700's, entirely in stone, that was carefully and passionately restorated, maintaining the particular architectural qualities of the structure and using only original materials.
The estate is positioned on a hill, in a position of exceptional beauty within the natural and artistic park of Val d'Orcia, declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO.
The farmhouse, 500m above sea level, dominates the hills that slope towards the valley: from here you can admire a vast natural setting, from Monte Cetona to the cliffs of San Casciano, from the rock of Celle sul Rigo to the slopes of Monte Amiata.
In addition to one of the most fascinating views in Tuscany, you can enjoy a mild and pleasant climate, which benefits from its sheltered position and the ancient oak trees that surround the estate of Podere Pietreta.
This apartment is on the ground level and has a private entrance; in front of it there is a private garden with a gazebo, table, chairs and barbecue. The apartment is located on one of the sides of the farmhouse, ensuring that guests have complete privacy.

Upon request, it is possible to have in your apartment - at a time you request - a home-made breakfast, including sweets, honey and marmalade, all home-made by Christine. Not to be missed, amongst other things, is the grandmother's cake, the yoghurt and berry marmalade cake, prepared with berries that grow abundantly in the Pietreta park.
To ensure peace and quiet of its guests, Pietreta does not have a restaurant within the complex, but some of the best traditional restaurants in the area (just 2km away) offers guests of Podere Pietreta a complete meal a la carte, at a fixed discounted price.
Further details outdoors
In front of the entrance of the apartment, there is an exclusive area with a table, seats, gazebo and private barbecue, where guests can eat their meals, whilst taking in the lovely view.
A park of three hectares surrounds Podere Pietreta. Under the shade of large oaks, there is a panoramic swimming pool with a Roman staircase (6x12m); from the well-placed benches in the large garden, you can admire the magnificent panorama that characterises Podere Pietreta. The ample parking is located in a position that does not disturb the view.
The park also includes an olive grove of more than 100 olive trees, an orchard and a rose garden; there are no enclosures, but wide spaces and natural terraces, surrounded by lavender, rosemary and flowering plants.
