Villa | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 6
The villa was constructed in 2009 by a team of people who wanted to create a blend of traditional and contemporary design. Their aim, to provide a high level of exclusivity & service at an affordable price with a huge emphasis placed on personal service to make your stay with us one of your most pleasant & relaxing holidays.
The exterior is of local natural stone in a style reminiscent of dwellings once found on the island helping to meld the new with the natural beauty of the surrounding environment, a contemporary look greets you as you step through the door, the spacious living areas of all the villas are a mix of ultra modem and traditional to give guests all the comfort and safety of a modern building but add to this with a strong sense of real homeliness. The large private patios provide an idyllic place to sit in the early evening and enjoy the sun set with ample space for all to have an alfresco meal.
We are positioned in close reach of the beaches on the south of the island where you will find miles of safe, gently shelving sand with water so clear and warm you could be in the Caribbean, yet, you are just a couple of hours from most European cities. There is wild nightlife to be had in the nearby centre of Lagana, and the stunning main town centre is a five minute drive away. The airport is close, yet, we are well away from the flight path. 'Harmony Villa' makes the ideal place to stay on your holiday - close to everything when you want it while being far enough away from it all when you don't.

English speaking host, but Zakynthos born and bred, to give out all necessary and useful information regarding the island.
The Ionian Islands region
Zakynthos lies on the west coast of Greece below the island of Kefalonia. It is a fairly big island, (55 km across) but manageable to drive around because most of the amenities are located in the southern and eastern part of the island where the beaches are.
Zakynthos has a mild winter climate with loads of rain and a dry summer period. Between mid June to early September you will have to look hard to spot a cloud. The temperatures are in the 20s Celsius during May and October, and between 25 and 35 degrees Celsius from June to September.
Due to the wet and mild winter the island is green throughout the year with lush olive groves, vineyards and fields where locals cultivate tomatoes, melons and watermelons. Try the local production of fruits and vegetables, they are to die for. Ask to know about the medicinal attributes to olive oil and take some home with you. Drive towards the mountain and discover the pine forests, pick you own sage, thyme and wild flowers.
Zakynthos island has been blessed with long stretches of sandy beaches, shallow clear blue waters and dramatic landscaping. The Ionian sea surrounds the island and is home to the loggerhead turtles "Caretta-Caretta". Take a dingy out for the day, spot the turtles, discover secluded beaches and let yourself submerge into the clear blue waters of the sea. The beaches in the south have particularly shallow waters and are thus safe for families with kids.
Historically, the island goes back in the ancient times. It has being colonised many times over the centuries and has only joined mainland Greece in the 19th century. The influence from the Venetians, the French, the Russians and the English rulers is still present in the architecture, the arts and the local lingo. Visit the museum in Zakynthos town to learn more about the arts and history of the island.
