Within walking distance of the beach and Greenhill’s beautiful sea front gardens No 6 is a recently refurbished large house, well equipped for family holidays. The house is also located right next to the Lodmoor Nature Reserve and Country Park so there is plenty for families to do all within 5 minutes walk of the house.
Number six is a traditional 5 bedroom house with many original features and a large country garden to relax in. The Kitchen opens out to the dining room, which has French doors opening into the garden, making a fantastic living area for group holidays. With the Jurassic coast on your door step too, whether you want to stay in and cosy up in front of the fire, or get out and explore, you won’t be stuck for things to do!
Weymouth is the venue for the 2012 Olympic sailing competition and the local facilities are excellent. The Town centre is less than 1 mile away where there are a wide variety of shops, restaurants and entertainments.

With room for 2 -3 cars on the drive way and based in a quiet rural street with plenty of on road parking.
The Garden is large with a large decked area at the end which gets sunshine all day.
The West Country region
Dorset has the beautiful Jurassic Coast and boasts lots of fantastic scenery and countryside for walking, and other outdoor persuits. With numerous villages steeped in history there are lots of places to visit. In addition there are plenty of activities for children, such as Monkey world, the Tank Museum, and Farmer Palmers to name a few. There are plenty of lovely country pubs serving great food and good beer.
Weymouth is the venue for the 2012 Olympic Sailing competition, and so the town is being extensively invested in with new shopping centres and devopments.
Stripey deckchairs, candy-floss stalls, rickety windbreaks and Punch & Judy booths line the traditional beachfront of Weymouth, which was once a favoured holiday haunt of the English gentry.
The Lodmoor country park 5 minutes walk from the house has a large range of entertainment including cafe, pub and restaurant, RSPB nature reserve with flat 2.5k circular walk route suitable for wheelchairs. The Sea Life centre is also on this site on a 6 acre plot with a tropical jungle, and Captain Kid's World. There is also a Mini Golf Course, a Model World, as well as a leisure ranch with Cresta Run, Go Cart circuit and Bumper Boats. There is a Model Railway and a 9 Hole pitch and put golf course. There is a train which runs along the sea front from this attraction, taking you to the Harbour at the other end of the promenade approx 1 mile away. The Greenhill Gardens are an award winning area over the beach and promenade.

"Large house in a good location"

"Wonderful house and location"
When we arrived we were delighted by the airy and spacious accommodation. The dining room is bright and has a large table that the whole party (11 of us) could comfortably sit around. The kitchen is beautiful and has all the mod cons you would require. There is enough equipment to cook a 3 course meal if you should wish!
The bedrooms are all a good size and all the rooms are tastefully decorated. There is plenty of wardrobe space.
We found time to sit out in the garden. The end of the garden is decked and furnished with a large garden table and chairs. A BBQ is also available, aithough we didn't get the opportunity to use this.
The house is located in a quiet residential road. There is parking available for 2 cars.
Weymouth is a great place for the whole family. There is plenty for the children to do and enough to keep the adults entertained too. The beach and the centre of Weymouth are only a short walk to the beach, which was a real bonus.
The best part of our stay has got to be the roomy accommodation. Despite having 6 children with us ( Ages 3 - 14), we did not feel on top of one another at all. I can't think of anything I disliked about the whole weekend.

"Brilliant accomodation for a family holiday"
We found No6 an excellent property for our family Christmas, large well equiped kitchen and large dining table made catering for the 10 of us easy and enjoyable. A seperate lounge to chill out in, and good sized bedrooms made the whole stay very comfortable.
The town of Weymouth and surrounding area were equally as enjoyable despite the miserable weather. Great area for walking and well serviced with shops, pubs and restaurants.
If we get the opportunity do this sort of thing again, I would be delighted to return to No6.
The Christmas decorations and welcome pack were a real bonus.

"We've booked for next year!"
We had a lovely family holiday and have booked it again for next year which is the best review we can give.
We had a few minor issues but the owners sorted them out straight away, which is all you can ask for.
It is a bit more than 5 minutes walk to the beach as stated in the description but not too far, apart from that the location is good.

"excellent for large family holiday"
lovely house in quiet residential area. 5 min walk from nearest part of beach and within walking distance of main weymouth area. it took us about 30 mins to walk along beach. very close to lodmoor country park where there is a family restaurant. also shops and takeaways on dorchester road very close by. the large garden of no 6 has fruit trees and lovely decking area although weather wasnt warm enough while we were there to use it much. suprised to find travel cot in house which we could have used but had bought one not thinking to ask. pleasantly surprised to find wine and chocolates waiting for us. thankyou for lovely stay

"Splendid place to stay for larger groups"
Number 6 provided our extended family group with flexible accommodation in a quiet residential area of Weymouth. The house has been renovated to a high standard and the beds were comfortable. It felt like a home from home and was very handy for Greenhill Gardens and beach, which was popular with everyone.
