Kildare is an beautifully presented old stone built house situated in the picturesque village of Niton, on the south coast of the Isle of Wight. This is a superb location to go walking, visiting nearby beaches & local attractions – Blackgang Chine, St. Catherine's Lighthouse, Castle Haven, the Pepper Pot, Steephill Cove, Botanical gardens to name but a few.
It has a large sitting room with open fire, and a large stunning flag stoned dining room with wood burning stove. The kitchen is equipped with modern facilities. Additionally there is a utility room and a downstairs toilet. There are 4 bedrooms. A master bedroom with en suite and sun balcony. A large double bedroom with sink and ample space for a travel cot. Two beamed loft rooms, both with three beds that can be converted to a double/ single if required. There is a large modern family bathroom with bath & power shower.Outside is a small front garden and a larger back garden with lawn and flower beds. A courtyard patio outside the kitchen has a large garden dining set and BBQ.Local pub 2 mins walk!

The Isle of Wight region
The Isle of Wight is a great place for a holiday. It has spectacular coastline with many fine beaches and coves. It is renowned for its walking and cycling in beautiful countryside with magnificent views. There are plenty of places to visit including world famous sites such as Osbourne House (Queen Victoria's summer retreat), Carisbrooke Castle ( where Charles I was held prisoner), The Needles, Cowes. and many more. The island has two adventure parks (Robin Hill and Blackgang Chine) as well as variety attractions for all ages e.g. Haven Street Steam Railway, Dinosaur Museum, Glass works, Chocolate Island, vineyards and many more. see web links.
Each of the local seaside towns and country villages have their own character offering a range of activities, places to eat and views to enjoy. ie Victorian Ventnor, Winkle Street, Godshill, Yarmouth
The Island has a range of major events from music ( IOW Festival, Bestival, Jazz etc.), to sailing and power boats at Cowes, walking and cycling weeks, The County Show & garlic festivals, specialist events like the V-dub Festival and steam show. There are also lots of local events in each town and village eg shows & exhibitions, carnivals, ie Ventnor Fringe Festival, Yarmouth Old Gaffers Festival. see web links

Niton is a traditional, rural village on the south coast of the Isle of Wight with a 11th century church, post office, chemist, doctors, cafe, library, pottery, the White Lion Pub and large village store/off licence all within 100m of Kildare House. The famous Buddle Inn pub is a short walk within the village offering good food and a superb atmosphere. St. Catherine's Lighthouse dominates the coastine and is open to the public on certain dates.
Niton Undercliffe's Castlehaven offers a picturesque fishermans slipway and a secluded beach within a short distance. Nearby Steephill Cove is a traditional, unspoilt fishing cove with a safe, sandy beach, nestled between rocky cliffs and smugglers' coves offering locally caught cuisine. There are many child friendly sandy beaches within easy reach by car. Blackgang Chine Adventure Park is 5 minutes by car along the coast offering great value for families where entrance allows 7 days admission.
Niton is in an AONB (Area of National Beauty) and the National Trust owns the land nearby providing unspoilt coastal walks and cycling from the doorstep with St. Catherine's Down as a backdrop.
Nearby is Ventnor, the local Victorian seaside town offering a range of activities and services including the Botanical Gardens which contains many tropical plants due to the mild microclimate of the Undercliffe. Also close by is the pretty village of Godshill with its thatched cottages, model village and tea rooms.
