Villa | 3 bedrooms | sleeps 8
We offer a comfortable, tasty and simple accommodation. You will be staying in the first floor of our villa. The house is placed on top of a hill, from your windows you can enjoy the Lepini mountains on the east, the mount Artemisio on the north, the Circeo promontory on the south and vineyards and olive groves all around you.
This area is still very authentic and “off the beaten track”, Rome is only 40 km on the train, so you can spend a day visiting and come back to enjoy a dip on the pool and an authentic regional dinner that I would be happy to cook for you.
Guests are free to use the garden, which offers plenty of shady spots, sun-loungers and a swimming pool OPEN FROM 15 MAY TO 15 SEPTEMBER. There are also garden games for the kids and a table football.

The Lazio region
The ideal destination for everybody. Beautiful weather combined with stunning surroundings make for the ideal holiday getaway!
With so much to see and do in the area you will never get bored!
At three kilometers from the centre of Velletri and only 40 kilometers from the centre of Rome, situated on top of a hill surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and vegetable plots, Chez Raz is an ideal holiday location for visitors of all tastes.
The surrounding area offers many possibilities for those who enjoy the outdoors and nature: characteristic villages and towns can be found perched on the nearby Lepini mountain range (Rocca Massima, Cori, Sermoneta, Segni); natural parkland and lakes are within ten to thirty minutes drive (The Regional Park of the Castelli Romani with the Monte Artemisio summit and the Lepini mountain range with the Monte Lupone summit) offering even sports lovers ample opportunities for nature treks on foot or MTB; for lovers of the sun, sand and salt water, we are situated a convenient distance from the best beaches of the central Lazio coastline (Circeo, Sabaudia, and further to the south Sperlonga and Terracina); at not more than twenty minutes in the car, you can find the lakes of Castel Gandolfo and Nemi; otherwise, lose yourselves on an enogastronomic adventure from town to town in the Castelli Romani (Genzano, Ariccia, Albano, Rocca di Papa).
The centre of Rome can be reached in 50 minutes on the train or about one hour by car.
For those who simply want a place to relax, from May to October, guests can make use of the secluded swimming pool, deck loungers, outside eating areas and barbeque on the premises.

"The best ever stay in an Italian B&B"
The welcoming we received from Paola was wonderful. The mini apartment was perfect for myself, husband and daughter. Paola was very attentive and helped recommend an excellent resturant in Cori. The pool was perfect to cool down after the heat. The area in very rural with two donkeys, chickens and dogs. I would stay you MUST have a car! It was unsafe to walk anywhere because there are no sidewalks and the Italian drivers go out their way to try and get really close to you when you walk. If you brave the walk there is a supermarket, bread shop, resturant very close by. We went to rome by train which took 1 hour and had a lovely meal in lake Nemi.

"Wonderful place to relax within easy reach of Rome"
I stayed at the apartment with a group of friends for a long weekend in September. The rooms were lovely, all tastfully furnished/decorated and spacious, the kitchen had all the facilities you would need. The pool was great, and in a lovely setting.
We enjoyed our stay here so much that I returned with my boyfriend for bed and breakfast a week later after traveling down to the Amalfi Coast. We spent a day in Rome which was really easy to travel to by train from Velletri. Paola's breakfasts were also delicious- we felt spoilt.
Both Paola and Paul were great hosts, very helpful and easy to get on with, but not at all intrusive for owners who live on the same site as the apartment. I would highly recommend staying here either with a group of friends or as a couple.

"relaxing holiday outside rome but not far away"
we spent a relaxing holiday with the family in a quiet place, outside Rome but only one hour from the city center.
Paola & Paul hospitality was great anf the kids (8 and 10) had a lot of fun with the swimming pool, the trampoline and the donkeys.
Paola is one of the best chef I have ever met, able to mix the traditional italian dishes with a lot creative ingredients (with some indian/asiatic influence) and with real bio products (if you can try to eat there!).
The appartment is very clean and lovely furnished in a nice rustical country style

"A taste of a "different" italy"
Paola and her little world in the countryside of Velletri is something you would not want to miss. The property is pretty big and well organized, from the family kitchen to the swimming pool everything seems to be a little miracle living a life of its own. Pure beauty mixed up with simplicity makes of Chez Raz a perfect staying for a couple of days or even more, for young couples with children, groups of friends of all ages and also singles who just wish for a getaway. Paola's kitchen is gorgeous, rich and healthy, in the tradition of central Italy cuisine with a taste of exotic and creative just out of the cylinder of the cook anytime. Paul's ability with huge barbecue's will blow you away, and the quality of food is astounding, very well selected and taken care of when it's not directly produced by their newborn agricultural company. Same as wine, coming from organic grapes and award winning winemakers of the area. And staying outside in the park after dinner till late in the night, by the swimming pool or at the candle light, with a great glass of wine or single malt whiskey in your hand - from Paul's wide collection, what can you expect from a true scotsman?, just enjoying their company is something that makes you wish to settle down there and don't leave anymore! Thank you Paola and Paul, and also Francis and Steve, and Olivia, Kitty, Duncan, for having had us at Chez Raz. And see you soon again of course!

"The Prefect Getaway"
As usual Paola and her family made us so welcome. You relax the moment you arrive, as we arrived late on a Sunday Paola cooked us a meal which we ate with all the family. Nothing is to much trouble and you feel straight at home. A real home from home and I would thoroughly recommend it as a place to stay. A car is essential for most of getting around, but use the train for visiting Rome, it's cheap and the Station is only a 5 minute drive from Paola's.
