Right on the seafront of Torrox Costa, this is a bright and airy 6th floor apartment with fantastic views. The south facing balcony receives sun all day (except in midsummer when there is welcome shade around midday when the sun is at it's highest). The sun streams into the apartment in the winter plus we have UPVC double glazing and heating. To the East the main beach and start of the promenade can be seen. Straight ahead is the 'Balcon' (you have a birds eye view of the concerts held here in summer) and lighthouse, whilst the Easterly view looks out over the river bed towards the natural beach and mountains. The apartment is in a quiet location (note: the road in the pictures is a quiet cul-de-sac, whilst it is wide, it leads only to the sea and is used mainly for parking). The sunrise can be viewed from the apartment all year round as can the sunset in winter. The balcony is well divided from neighbouring balconies by a large gap and divider. The apartment is served by two lifts. Across the cul-de-sac is the start of the 9km sandy beach and pedestrianised promenade of Torrox Costa with many high quality restaurants (at least 40!) and a refreshing lack of rowdy bars or clubs.
You will be dealing directly with us, the owners with a highly personalised service. We do not use letting agents and do not have multiple properties.
Note: You will see other studios to let in this block. Most are on the East or West face of the building with limited sun and view. They are also not so light inside with one window and no through breeze. Ours also has a large open balcony, the only south facing one in the building. There are only six south facing 180 degree sea view studios (of which most are residential, not let). Of course the price may reflect this.

Sleeping arrangements are one fixed double and a pull out single bed with all bedding supplied. Kitchen and bathroom were recently fully refitted with all new appliances including full oven as well as microwave and hob. There is also a washing machine and ample hanging space. Beach towels are supplied. We have a small safe which takes a slim netbook or IPAD.
We expect guests to leave the apartment as clean as found. All electricity is included(no gas installed)
CD/radio micro system with Ipod connectivity. Flatscreen TV with internationanl internet TV. All British channels available including BBC,ITV and Channel 4. German and Italian channels. Also Spanish Digital television. We also have internet access on the TV with keyboard. Free wifi is available for your laptop/tablet/smartphone. The internet cafe is only 150 metres away open 7 days 10am to 11pm.

We are very flexible on dates and changeover days which can be any day of the week. Stays can be of any length ( minimum charge 7 nights) with discounts for stays of 14 nights or over.
Note, whilst we usually have a 7 nights minimum charge, if you see a gap between bookings in the availablity calendar of less than 7 nights we can usually offer a good rate for this. Please ask.

Payment is preferably by bank transfer. We can accept euros or sterling (GBP). We can also accept cheques and credit cards. Paypal can be accepted with a small fee..
The Andalucia region
Best Climate in Europe. Fantastic for all year round sun with daytime winter temperatures of around 15 to 20 degrees. Much to explore with beautiful countryside minutes from the coast and some fantastic coves and beaches.
Torrox Costa is a refined and pleasant resort thankfully lacking rowdy bars although there is a good live music scene. The attractive traffic free promenade with it's many excellent restaurants is ideal for an evening stroll . A few minutes drive or bus ride away is the beautiful old town of Nerja. This end of the Costa Del Sol is greener and less developed than the Western end.
This is an ideal base for exploring the mountain scenery with the 'white' villages of Frigiliana, Competa and Torrox Pueblo nearby. Further afield one can visit Lake Vinuela, Granada and the Alahambra are only an hour and a half's drive with the ski resort and highest road in Europe only a further half hour. There are booklets of country walks in the apartment for your use. Horseriding is available in Nerja and there is a golf course 15 mins drive away. There is an outdoor gym on the promenade and also a new indoor gym ten minutes walk away. The indoor swimming pool is five minutes drive.

We are pleased that this guest enjoyed their stay and thank them for their 5 star review. We feel we should clarify the comment that the view from the balcony is 'slightly marred by an empty building lot' to allay any fears potential guests may have. Indeed there is a vacant site below the balcony but one has to look down to see it. Being on the sixth floor the main view is above this. The site has been vacant for many years. All our other guests have commented on the fabulous views and not one other has mentioned this issue to us or in a review so we leave it to others to make their own judgement. Whilst there were plans to build a two storey building on the site some while back, the church owners have no money to build and there are issues over possible roman ruins below the site which will likely prevent any progress anyway. It is unlikely to occur for many years. We really feel this slight blot on the landscape is unlikely to trouble any guest given the fantastic views all round.

"Why go anywhere else !!"
Well where to start... from the very quick response from the owners, answering my initial enquiry to receiving the comprehensive information pack. The owners Dave and Fleur are both friendly, professional and totally honest. The pictures and video are exactly as seen but do not convey how lovely the location and the studio really are when you see it for the first time.We were lucky enough to meet up with friends who were staying in Torrox, they both commented on just how lovely the studio and balcony in particular, were. It has such a warm and homely feel and the contacts M and M where very helpful,
There are a good few bars and restaurants in the area,look for the ones with various meats on skewers, be warned, don't eat much on the day before you visit the portions just keep coming and coming!
There is a lovely little beach bar that is to the left of the lighthouse and along the beach approx 500 meters,where flip flops and take a towel, you may get wet feet !
To sum up, great location, excellent clean studio, nice helpful owners. Cant wait for the next Torrox break.
