Home description
After years of being disappointed with the quality of accommodation on package deals and self-catering holidays, we have created in Vega Village somewhere that we, ourselves, feel proud to call our holiday home.
Vega is right next to the sea (beautiful sandy beach and non-tidal warm low-salt sea) and marina and is less than a 5 minute stroll into the centre of the village with plenty of restaurants and shops. The complex has two huge split-level swimming pools, a sauna and gym, a restaurant/cafe and bar plus full use of all facilities on the 4 other Dinevi complexes including the 5* diamond resort.
The apartment is very spacious and furnished, fitted and equipped to a high standard with sea views from both balconies and TWO fully-tiled shower rooms (unusual to find in most apartments) with shower, sink and toilet in each (a real bonus when getting ready to go out!).
There is so much to do and Vega Village is the ideal base for exploring everything that Bulgaria has to offer; we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

The Black Sea Coast region
Vega Village is situated in a very picturesque and quiet location overlooking the sea in the village of Svetti Vlas (St Vlas). St Vlas itself is a 5 minute drive/bus ride from Sunny Beach, the largest resort on Bulgaria's Black Sea Coast. Being idyllically placed between the sea and the Stara Plannina mountain range behind, St Vlas benefits from its own distinct micro-climate giving a healthy environment and plenty of sunshine. The Black Sea has very low salt levels and from ancient times has been known for its helath-giving properties. We just know that it is more pleasant to swim in!
St Vlas area
From the apartment there are views across to Sunny Beach (the never-ending fiesta resort wonderful for a visit but nice to get away again from!) and Nessebar (a historical area full of quaint cobbled streets, delightful antique shops, beautiful boutiques and delightful restaurants well worth a visit).
St Vlas village centre is around a 5-minute walk inland from Vega Village and here you will find plenty of restaurants, shops and bars. There is an extremely regular and cheap bus service straight into Sunny Beach and Nessebar although virtually all your needs can be catered for in St Vlas itself. It is also fun to take a bus into Sunny Beach (or walk around the coast to it if you are feeling energetic!) and then take the little train from Sunny Beach to Nessebar.
Boat trips, jeep safaris, Bulgarian Village Nights, fishing trips, quad bikes etc can all be booked in St Vlas itself or in Sunny Beach. Water sports are available from the 3 beaches in St Vlas - everything from banana boats to pedalos, para gliding and jet skis. There are also 2 superb water parks close to Sunny Beach well worth a visit. The 250-berth marina in St Vlas (just 100m away) is already operating and completion is planned for 2007 with shops, restaurants and seating areas. There is also an amphi-theatre here which again should be completed for 2007.
Bulgaria is a fascinating country full of history and culture and it is worth hiring a car to explore some of the surrounding countryside and villages. However a car is not needed should you just wish to relax and enjoy the pools and sea - you are welcome to do as much or as little as you please.

Further details indoors: All extras have been thought of right down to hairdryer, games, books, buckets & spades, picnicware and cool bag and the apartment enjoys facilities such as well-equipped kitchen, comfortable seating, good decor and furnishings, washing machine, microwave, ample storage facilities and two fully-tiled shower rooms so no squabbles over who's getting ready first! Bed linen and all towels are provided (as well as beach towels).
Further details outdoors: Ideally located in St Vlas, which lies at the foot of the spectacular Stara Planina mountain range of the Balkans, where the mountains spill into the Black Sea, Vega Village has the sea in front and the mountains as a backdrop.
The apartment has 2 large balconies (with table and chairs for al fresco dining or soaking up the last of the sun's rays before admiring the spectacular sunsets), both with sea views/glimpses of ancient Nessebar and overlooking the larger of the two spectacular split-level swimming pools. Set in gardens which feature both grassy and paved areas with tables, chairs and sunbeds for relaxing, the pool area is also beautifully lit. at night.
The complex boasts a reception, pool cocktail bars, restaurant/cafe, bar, gym and sauna. There are shops available in the surrounding Dinevi hotel and apartment complexes around Vega Village, the facilities of which can all be enjoyed by guests of Vega Village. The village of St Vlas itself is only a 5 minute walk away and here a huge number of shops and restaurants can be found.
A 5 minute bus or taxi ride will take you to the never-ending pulsing fiesta of Sunny Beach - wonderful for a day or evening.
Further details
We try to be as flexible as possible and like to allow guests to stay in the apartment right up until their flight time, where possible. How frustrating it is to be pushed out into the heat with hours to kill and nowhere to deposit luggage or shower!
Similarly, changeover days, as well as arrival and departure times are also flexible and we can arrange airport transfers and welcome packs if required.
