Villa Rigas, named after the beautiful Rigas Bay above which it sits, is a second generation family owned property set in large, mature landscaped gardens. The Villa is located in the Kanapitsa region of the highly sought after Kalamaki Peninsula on the beautiful Island of Skiathos, Greece.

Our Greek Home is a closely guarded secret family retreat, which we have now decided to share with only a handful of visitors a year.

The "Little House" or "Spitaki", as it is affectionately known, for rental is completely self contained and nestles in the grounds of the main Villa; benefitting from its own parking area behind electric gates, dedicated entrance and private secluded terrace with table & chairs.

Skiathos is the greenest and most popular of the Sporades Islands. The secluded terrace offers uninterrupted panoramic views of this beautiful landscape and surrounding islands. A sample of these can be seen in the pictures.

The Villa is approximately 15-20 minutes walk from the closest bus stop where there is a regular service to all parts of the island; there is also a well stocked supermarket and Taverna's within walking distance. Kanapitsa Bay is a five to ten minute walk away; this is one of over sixty beaches on the island and boasts a Taverna/Bar, regular water taxi service to Skiathos Town, sun loungers and full water sports facilities including motor boat rental.

The "Little House" is cleaned and linen changed twice weekly. The terrace and garden are swept, watered and maintained on a daily basis.

We will collect you from the airport/port on your arrival and take you back again when you sadly leave; we can also help you with car or scooter hire during your stay if required.

This is a perfect destination for the lone traveller, couples and family's alike who are looking for a self catering break. Skiathos offers something for everyone, your holiday can be as busy or quiet as you wish; the only thing you can't control is the virtually guaranteed sunshine. Skiathos is an extremely popular destination and all aspects can be easily researched online.

The entire property is secured behind a perimeter wall and locked electric gates.

Friends and family that have stayed have said that it is: "Truly a fairytale, paradise island with unparalleled views and idyllic relaxation".

"Beautiful, immaculate and very comfortable"

My wife and I stayed here for 2 weeks and have to say we had a very enjoyable stay. The owner met us at the Airport upon our arrival and took us to the car hire place, we then followed him to the Villa so that we did not have any trouble finding it. The "Little House" had it's own exclusive driveway where we could park our hire car and it had its own remote, electronic gate access so we could come and go as we pleased without disturbing the owners of the property who were staying in the main Villa as that is their private holiday home. The Little House is spacious with a modern kitchen and shower room as well as being well furnished. The owners of the Villa were very approachable and were always on hand to help us with advice on where's good to visit/eat/relax etc. and they pointed us in the direction of some fantastic eateries away from all the usual tourist places! I thoroughly recommend taking up the offer of renting the boat that James (the owner) has on offer as his rates are a LOT cheaper than anything else on the island plus, as James is the person who pilots the boat he knows all the best secluded beaches to go to as he has been staying at the island every year since he was born. The Island is very beautiful and the people friendly and the weather was faultless! There is only really one main road along the island which is served by one bus route, so I would suggest hiring a car like we did so that you can explore at your own leisure and follow dirt tracks to hidden beaches etc as a bit of adventure!
