Living Chianti. Staying in an environment of the most beautiful that nature can offer. The beautiful Tuscan countryside, with its gentle hills dotted by the regular geometry of vineyards and olive groves . With the noble patrician villas and rustic cottages nestled in soft and manicured lawns

My husband Nino and I live in this beautiful barn near Florence, in the Chianti hills since 2010.. When the children have left home, we renovated part of the building and we have obtained two small indipendent apartments where we welcome friends and relatives guests. The place is beautiful and our guests are always happy to stay there. We look forward to see you too!.

One breathes the well-being and sense of relaxation that these simple and natural environments can offer in this typical barn of the 1400's, beautifully restored, where every little detail is designed to give its guests an unforgettable holiday in the countryside, among the trees and flowers. It is possible to visit, all the most beautiful places in the Chianti region and Siena in a short time, and to appreciate the nearby gastronomic attractions.

And then there's Florence, a few steps away, with its artistic and cultural treasures. And Siena, Pisa and Lucca, a few tens of kilometers further. And, also not far away, the sea, Livorno, Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi. A small, large, diverse universe, to discover and explore. For a dream vacation.

The Tuscany region

Florence, cradle of Italian art and culture, home of the Renaissance, together with Rome and Venice is the most visited city in Italy and not only by tourists but by Italian travelers from all over the world and throughout the year continuously. Those who decide to visit Florence and not want to lose those who are the main monuments and evidences of a rich and glorious past, which saw the Queen in the cultural and economic power in the European cultural and artistic needs at least four days. The artistic heritage of Florence is among the largest in the world so that the center of town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site because its unique artistic achievement, the result of a creation which lasted over three centuries and can exercise a 'predominant influence in the development of architectural and monumental art in Italy first and then in Europe.

In fact, visiting the center of the city's oldest neighborhoods or you realize how much the UNESCO recognition and charm that this city has on everyone who visits it is earned, and they make one of the most beautiful cities in the world: the aristocratic buildings (including certainly worth mentioning Palazzo Vecchio in Piazza della Signoria), loggias, fountains, the beautiful Ponte Vecchio from the fourteenth century ... and more to confirm the primacy of economics, political, artistic and cultural city in Europe between the fourteenth and seventeenth centuries.

Who has not heard the name of Machiavelli? And why not connect the name of the Florentine ” Secretary of state” with that of San Casciano: his place of exile but also of ardent reflexion and study. Now however artistic patrimony , such as the local Museo di Arte sacra, and the much admired Church of the Misericordia, attracts the attention of a tourist who has time and wishes to enjoy and relish the refinement of this art , rather unexpected in a village like San Casciano:a Lorenzetti, a Simone Martini.these are some of the treasures it is possible to admire.San Casciano is highly renowned also for the production of wine and olive oil..

"Relaxing, Welcoming, Wonderful place to stay."

We stayed in the apartment in June this year and would definitely return again. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly with a welcome pack of delicious cake, wine, fruit etc. The apartment was a good size and the bedroom was beautiful. Throughout our stay we had the windows opened and had the beautiful smell of jasmine throughout the room. The views were spectacular and we throughly enjoyed every minute of our stay. The location was excellent to get to all the points of interest in Tuscany and we were kindly provided with details of where to park etc upon visiting the major cities. We had an amazing time and cannot wait to return in the future.
