Sunset 31 is a newly built 70 sq. m. apartment in Panorama Seafront Homes, located in Panormo, Northern Crete. It is set in breath-taking scenery, offering unsurpassed vistas to the Aegean Sea. Bolstering distinctive interior design and remarkable functionality, Sunset 31 will make you feel right at home from the very first day of your vacation!

Entering Sunset 31, you are greeted by the 35 sq. m. harmonious open space living room and kitchen. The living room with its plush sofa and arm chairs invites you to relax and unwind. It has been thoughtfully outfitted with state-of-the-art technology including a 40 inch plasma TV, DVD Home Audio System, as well a collection of DVDs, CDs, books and table games, with selections appropriate for both you and your children. Also and Playstation II and Wii Console is available with games and a KARAOKE set.

The contemporary design kitchen is equipped with a wide dining table and chairs. It features high quality fittings and electric devices (oven, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, fridge, freezer, dishwasher etc) and of course all the kitchenware and utensils.

The patio is connected both to the living room as well as to the terrace of the main entrance, allowing the visitors direct access without having to enter the apartment. Sitting on this spacious veranda, you can enjoy the sweeping view overlooking the crystal blue freshwater pool and the stunning landscape and let your mind and soul wonder the Cretan countryside. Unwind with a refreshing cocktail, as nature provides an amazing display of sunsets and a soft, caressing breeze you will not soon forget!

From the open space living room and kitchen, a door leads into the more private space of the apartment, comprised of the master bedroom (with a double bed), the kid's bedroom (with a bunk bed and an under bed mattress that sleeps three children) and the bathroom.

Each bedroom opens to its own spacious balcony, while the master bedroom balcony offers the same magnificent unobstructed view to the sea as from the living room. The main bedroom is also equipped with a 26 inch plasma TV and a wall to wall closet and an inset safe box.

The children's bedroom also features a big double closet and an office desk, where a pc and a printer will be at your disposal. The top quality mattresses and pillows combined to the melody of the waves ensure a deep restful sleep.

The bathroom, located between the bedrooms, is designed in a minimal style and will catch your eye with its distinctive decoration. The first aid kit is inside the top cupboard and two hair-dryers can be found under the sink. In the hall that separates the two bedrooms, a cleverly designed cupboard conceals the washing/drying machine.

Conditions

To make a reservation, a payment of an initial deposit (25% of the total rental cost) would be required. The balance of the rent is payable 1 month before arrival day. Reservations made within 1 month of the start of the rental period require full payment at the time of booking.

Our cancellation policy is the following:

Within 15 days after reservation: full refund
From the 16th day after reservation, until the 15th day before arrival day: no refund, unless the apartment is rented (from people other than the client), in which case only the deposit will be refunded. The last 15 days before arrival day (last minute cancellation): no refund

Check in time: 14.00 hours
Check out time: 12.00 hours
With regards to late checkout we are flexible depending on the next arrival, however we can only be sure closer to the departure dates. In any case we can arrange for your luggage to be kept in a safe place for as long as you need until your final departure.

The maximum number of people to reside in the 'Property' and make use of its facilities shall not exceed 6+infant unless the 'Owner' has given prior written permission.

The Crete region

Panormo is a typical example of a Cretan village. Central located at the North coast of the island, 58 km west of Heraklion and only 20 km from Rethymno. Panormo has not been affected by the onslaught of mass tourism. The warm and friendly inhabitants, less 500, still work in the fields on the small fertile plains, or else are shepherds and fishermen.

Whitewashed buildings gleaming in the mid day sun, a mini-maze of back streets sloping gently down to the small harbor and pretty beaches. There's the traditional village square, with tavernas and Kafenions and the old picturesque houses are being renovated and restored with great elegance. For shopping the village has mini markets, a bakery, butchers, gift shops, jewellery shop, post office, car hire etc.

In and around Panormo you'll find small beaches of smooth sun-warmed pebbles, sandy coves, some with shallow waters, ideal for children, some with water sports facilities, fishing, diving etc. There are buses, which go regularly to Rethymno (15 min) or to Heraklion and Chania making Panormo an ideal base to explore many parts of Crete.

For culturally interested outings you may choose to visit the Monasteries of Arkadi and Prevely, and the world famous Minoan Palace of Knossos. Otherwise you may wish to explore the wilderness wonders of the Samaria Gorge, or simply take time to visit the mountain villages, for example the village of Margarites where traditional pottery and wood carving are still being produced.

The Rethymno / Panormo area

There are lots of places to visit in and around Panormo:
Hire a car and drive up into the mountains and visit the traditional Cretan villages (Perama, Anogia, Margarites)There are water sports at one of the local beaches within Panormo town. Fishing boats can be hired at the small picturesque harbor by the day or hour.

Visit Rethimno (by car 20 Minutes, or 30 minutes by bus. It is a beautiful old town with lots of historic monuments, archeological museum, and also shops, tavernas, bars and nightclubs if you feel like it. You can take advantage of the luxuries offered in the Grecotel Club Marine Palace right next to Panorama Seafront Homes.

“Great location in a beautiful apartment with a great view that lives up to the name "Sunset"” The service was excellent, as was the property. Comfortable bedrooms, large living room, a patio from which to gaze at the sunset, a well equipped kitchen and a pool to cool off in helped make this a relaxing stay. We never really did figure out how to tune the satellite TV channels, but then we weren't here to watch TV anyway. The village of Panormo was just a 10 minute walk away and offered many good dining opportunities. Located between Chania and Heraklion both places were within comfortable reach by car. What we liked least? Well, there wasn't much to dislike. We had a bumpy start due to a transport/fuel strike, but hat was of course no fault of the owners! A rental car is recommended to get around.
