This newly completed log home is nestled between aspen, ponderosa and fir trees with views of rocky peaks overlooking the Flathead and Clark Fork River valleys. The cabin is situated in a picturesque and peaceful location that is ideal for fly-fishermen, hunters, hikers, writers, and photographers alike. The beautiful scenery and secluded setting accommodates couples in search of a romantic weekend getaway or large families looking to reconnect. Enjoy endless walks on nearby trails, observe wildlife while lounging on the wrap-around deck, and snuggle up with a book or a hot bath in the evenings. Your secluded wilderness experience will not be one you or your family will soon forget.

Accommodations:

Upon entering the cabin you will first notice the vaulted ceiling and large windows providing a gorgeous view of the valley. The house has a fully furnished kitchen featuring custom rustic hickory cabinets and quartz countertops. Brand new appliances are available, including a microwave, refrigerator, oven, and coffee maker. All dishes, cutlery, pots, and pans are also provided. Next to the kitchen is a laundry room with a washer and dryer. The master bedroom is quite spacious with a master bath featuring a glass shower and white clawfoot tub. There are two upstairs bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two twin beds. The upstairs bedrooms share an adjoining full bath. WiFi is available throughout the cabin and we are pet friendly.

Outside is a covered porch and deck for large outdoor gatherings. Deck chairs and a grill are available for your use. There is plenty of parking at the end of the gravel drive and a grassy lawn to play on.

Activities:

Nestled in a mountainous valley on the Flathead River, the area surrounding the log cabin hideaway is an outdoor enthusiasts' dream. The cabin sits on the Flathead River and is just 1 mile from the Clark Fork River. The Clark Fork is well known for its fly fishing, while the Flathead produces northern pike, smallmouth bass and perch. Bring your fishing rod, canoe, kayak, raft, drift boat, jet boat or party barge and enjoy the abundant wildlife and gorgeous scenery up and down these two rivers. For hikers, birders, and photographers, short hikes can be accessed right out the back door and offer stunning views up and down the valley. More challenging hikes also await more avid backpackers in Lolo National Forest and up Baldy Mountain.

For those in search of wildlife, many times the best vantage point is right from the cabin! Wild turkeys roost on the porch and whitetail deer frequently graze near the lawn. Bring your binoculars to enjoy views of bighorn sheep on the mountainside across the river. Ruffed grouse, swans, osprey and eagles are also frequently sighted from the cabin.

If you are in need of some relaxation and rejuvenation, melt your worries away at Quin's Hot Springs Resort just minutes down the road. Or snuggle up with a book and hot beverage on the porch as you listen to the aspen trees dance in the breeze. Gaze up at brilliant stars in the evening with a cup of hot chocolate and soak your tired muscles in the clawfoot tub.

My parents live next door and have the keys. Just prior to your arrival I will provide you with the wifi password. This property has very limited cell service, smartphones set up for wifi calling work very well at the cabin. Please bring your own devices to stream video entertainment as we do not have cable TV service. If you would like to bring DVD movies, we do offer a DVD player and TV.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Gordon (the owner) a message.

If Gordon (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
