About the home

Villa Adonia is a beautiful, stone-built, traditional Cypriot-style, 4 bedroom luxury villa with a private infinity swimming pool. The villa, in the traditional village of Peyia, has spectacular panoramic sea, bay and mountain views and is conveniently placed 25 mins drive from Paphos Airport, 15 mins drive from Paphos town and 5 mins drive to Coral Bay beach resort, the best beach this side of the island. The centre of Peyia village is within a short few minutes walk, where there are several bars, tavernas, restaurants, take-aways, shops, banks, supermarkets and other amenities.

There’s a beautiful, custom, walnut, well equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, full air conditioning/central heating and an open log fire in the lounge, offering year-round comfort. The villa has been tastefully decorated to an extremely high standard. It is very well equipped, with comfortable furniture, Freeview Sky TV, DVD player, a radio-CD player and wireless Internet access.

The private landscaped gardens surround a fantastic "infinity" pool offering views over Coral Bay and the coastline from Sea Caves to Paphos. The 2 upstairs bedrooms have large balconies/terraces with wonderful views and the public rooms have patio doors onto the large stone patio and pool area.

The villa is light and airy but due to traditional construction, the villa is cool in the summer and warmer in the winter months.

The villa provides both sun traps and adequate shade for those people wishing to take shelter. There is plenty of garden furniture eg dining table, chairs, sun loungers, sofas.

There is free air conditioning in every room. The villa also offers a real log fire and free central heating in the winter months.

The Kitchen has a separate water cooler drinks unit, microwave, dish washer, toaster and other normal kitchen equipment. The dining area is open plan in the lounge but with additional dining immediately outside the dining room, on the patio, where there is an additional set of table and chairs when sitting by the pool, in the shade. Main and double bedrooms each have a large balcony with table and chairs with panoramic mountain and sea views. TV includes Freeview SKY package and there is also wireless internet access. The villa has free air conditioning for the Summer months and central heating for cooler winter months. The lounge has an attractive real log fire place for the cooler winter months. Towels, linen and beach towels are also included.

Washing machine, iron and ironing board is also available.

Although there is a dining area through the lounge, there is an additional set of table and chairs when sitting by the pool, in the shade. Main and double bedrooms each have a large balcony with table and chairs with panoramic mountain and sea views.

There is also a private BBQ to enjoy, in the patio and pool area.

The gardens are landscaped and private. There are front, side and rear gardens, including fruit trees to pick from!

The Paphos region

Paphos District has many amenities and activities, including golf, water sports, water parks, diving, jeep safaris, cycling, hiking and even ski-ing in the winter!

The town of Paphos has a mix of new and ancient buildings. The beach and harbour and port area, known as Kato Paphos is a hive of activity with many sea-front bars and tavernas. Also here is the busy Bar Street, which has many bars and clubs for the livelier holiday makers.

The Animal Park and Water Park are nearby as are the Tombs of Kings, an archeological and national heritage site.

Kato Paphos and Paphos is a 15-20 minute drive from Peyia and there is regular public transport from Peyia to Coral Bay and Paphos.

Coral Bay Beach Resort, known for the best beach on the island, is a 5 minute drive from Peyia and has many different water sports and activities. There is a busy night life in Coral Bay with bars, tavernas, restaurants and clubs.

The Peyia / Peyia Village area

Peyia is a traditional cypriot village and is only a 5 minute drive from the best beach and resort on the island, Coral Bay. Peyia has many of its own amenities with bakers, supermarkets, butchers, video store, take-aways, banks, tavernas, bars and restaurants and other interesting shops. The village square includes picturesque fountains and historic church and plenty seating areas, to sit and watch the world go by.

Golf, water sports, water parks, diving, jeep safaris, cycling and hiking are all close-by. The Akamas peninsular and forest , with nature,walking and wildlife is 15 mins away. Troodos mountains for scenery and skiing in winter is approx one hours drive.

Lara Beach is famous for nesting turtles, which is 10 minutes drive. Latchi is a picturesque, busy fishing town, with its own marina. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the Marina, many specialising in fish dishes.

Fly to Paphos - Our villa is a less than a 30 minute drive, or fly to Larnaca which is less than two hours drive.
Flights are available from:
Thomsons, First Choice, British Airways, Cyprus Airways, Easyjet and Thomas Cook from most major UK airports.
Car hire recommended and available from Airports, EuropCar, EasyCar, AnyCarHire, Elephant Rentals, Cyprus Car Hire.

“Our wonderful holiday” "My family rented Villa Adonia in July 11, our party consisted of 6 adults and 2 children aged 6 and 2. The villa is situated in a lovely area with spectacular views, the hills to the rear and the Med to the front. The village of Peyia is a walkable distance away and has everything you could need for a self-catering holiday. We used the supermarket, vegetable and fruit shops and butchers. The produce was fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. The village is well worth a stroll around. The Villa was very well equipped, clean and comfortable. The rooms were spacious and the air-conditioning a must in the height of the season. The supply of towels, hair-dryers and toiletries added a personal touch. There is ample parking. The pool is the piece de resistance! The water clear and cool and provided endless fun for all the party. There was nothing better than ending the day sipping a cool glass of your favourite drink on the comfortable terrace, with the tinkling of the pool and the moon sparkling on the sea in the distance. A beautiful place to stay and I would highly recommend it. "

“Large Villa, clean and tidy with fantastic pool & excellent location” Thank you for allowing us to holiday in Villa Adonia. We have been to Cyprus a number of times but can honestly say that this time was the best. Your Villa is spacious inside and out, allowing us to relax to the maximum. The infinity pool was large enough for our party of 8 to enjoy plenty of lazy days sunbathing and then cooling off. The location is just right with tavernas and shops within walking distance. We enjoyed meals out in Coral Bay in the evening which was really nice and was only a 10minute drive away. Everyone enjoyed themselves very much thanks again.

The location was perfect- quiet with stunning views, but close enough to walk to the village and easily get to Coral Bay and Paphos. The views of the bay over the end of the infinity pool were awesome.

The facilities were very good, although we did have problems with the spin cycle on the washing machine. The kitchen was well equipped, and the quality of furniture and fitting was excellent.
If we return to Cyprus, then we would be delighted to stay there again, that's the true measure of how much we enjoyed it.

Mar-11 B Dobberstein, Germany The Villa is located in a very quiet area which is perfect if you want to have a peaceful and relaxing vacation. But is only short walk to more 'life' when you want. It is surounded by a very nice garden with pool and barbecue area which we used quiet frequently. Perfect for nice "sit togethers" in the evening with a great view over Peyia towards the open sea. The villa is nicely furnished and in a very good shape. We really had a wonderful time.

We chose Villa Adonia, and can say we were not dissapointed. All of our guests commented on how nice the villa was. The villa is located in a quiet location with views overlooking coral bay and the paphos coast. I would suggest a car if you want to get about easily. We had a couple of teething problems which was sorted out very quickly by the company looking after the villa in peyia. This is the first time we have booked direct, we usually use a tour operator. We were a little apprehensive, but from start to finish, the communication and service has been professional and swift. We really didn't want to leave, especially the little cat we befriended during our stay! Many thanks to Tracy and Jim, your villa was a delight!"

Dec-10 E Morgan "My husband and my two teenage daughters have thoroughly enjoyed our week at Easter in Villa Adonia. The Villa was really beautiful, private and peaceful. There was another family staying in Villa Harmony but we couldn’t see or hear them and the beautiful pool area was extremely private and not at all overlooked. Perfect for relaxing, revision and reading books! The view out to sea is amazing with lovely sunsets. The covered outdoor area was very useful in the heat of mid day and for dining under. The villa was spotlessly clean and well cared for.

I would highly recommend either of the Villas and hope to return some day.

"My husband and I went to Villa Adonia with our three grown up children and their wives/partners to celebrate my 60th birthday. There was everything you could need in the spacious accommodation. Each couple had en suite facilities so there was no queuing for loos or showers; you could dine indoors, barbeque for an al fresco meal on the patio, or take a stroll into Peyia village where there was a good selection of restaurants. The pool was especially popular being as large as many hotel pools and, like the villa, providing wonderful views across the sea.

If you find yourself stuck in a foreign place because of a volcanic ash cloud, this is the place to be. We were! And Tracy and Jim couldn’t have been more helpful, enabling us to make the most of our enforced, longer holiday"

We rented both Villa Adonia and Villa Harmony June 2010.  The villas were very attractive and the pools were lovely.  We had a large family reunion in Cyprus and the villas suited us perfectly.  The children loved being able to go out of the front door and into the swimming pool.  We had a one year old, who was intrepid and therefore had to be watched every moment.  The villas are well appointed, large and; therefore, we were able to enjoy all of our meals.   Barbecuing was great fun in the outdoor fireplace/grill.   We also found great places to eat and children were very welcome.  The shopping for necessities is near and very good.  The shop staff were helpful and friendly.   Some of the group walked the gorge and had a great day which ended at the castle for dinner.  Marvellous.   There are any number of activities in the area.  One day we drove to Latsi on the North coast and rented boats for an away picnic, snorkelling, and great swimming.  The water temperature was wonderful.   Cyprus was a great choice for us because it is easy to take very small children there and not too far from England.   The two drawbacks of our stay were mosquitoes and Easyjet.
