The Paphos District
Cyprus has more to offer the visitor than any other Mediterranean island, a fascinating blend of landscape, climate, history and culture. There is a seemingly endless coastline of sandy coves and beaches washed gently by crystal clear blue waters.
Travel a little way from the coast into the pine forests , an hours drive in the Winter for skiing in the Troodos Mountains; experience a kaleidoscope of colours in the Spring time; meet the local people whose reputation for good food and hospitality is world-wide and you will discover for yourself why this magical island has been attracting people for over 9,000 years.
Birthplace of Aphrodite and in Roman times the capital of Cyprus, Paphos is one of the most beautiful and ancient towns of Cyprus and is situated on the southwest coast. Sheltered from the north by the Troodos Mountains, it has the healthiest climate in the Mediterranean. Paphos Harbour with it's ancient castle, marine and water sports centres, is lined with colourful restaurants serving fresh fish and marine delicacies. Nearby are archaeological sites, rich with antiquities, providing an interest away from the usual - in fact UNESCO has included Paphos on it's World Cultural Heritage List.
There are no private beaches on the island and Cyprus boasts dozens of European Blue Flag awards. The secluded sandy beaches are perfect for snorkelling and every watersport you can imagine. If you want excitement then you may want to visit one of three world class water parks within easy reach that rival any in the world. Or, if you want something more relaxing there are three top class golf courses (par 71/72) within 20 minutes drive. Please ask us about golf holiday packages for you and your group.
Eating out in Cyprus is not only extremely cheap but also it's virtually impossible to eat badly. A lot of the locals and tourists too, don't bother cooking at home they just eat out. You can get full English breakfasts for around £2 Cyp and even have a 20 to 30 course meal, the famous 'Cyprus Meze', for around £10 Cyp. You can have a different Cypriot meal every night for two weeks and never eat the same thing twice, or if you miss 'Dear Old Blighty' , there are Fish & Chips shops par excellence and even a Nippy's Tea Shop to be found.
There truly is just too much of Cyprus to write about here. The best thing is to just make the effort to visit and we guarantee you will have the holiday of a lifetime. If you want any further information at all please use the e-mail facility and we will get back to you straight away. We look forward to helping you create an exciting holiday and memories of a lifetime...

Guestbook
We stayed at Villa Paros, Sunrise Dreams, between 25 July and 1 August 2007. On arrival we stepped out onto the lounge balcony and were literally mesmerized by the amazing view. Being in an elevated position the villa has a fantastic outlook over Peyia, Coral Bay to the right, and Paphos in the distance. The lounge balcony itself was a particularly nice setting to eat meals or have a night-cap whilst taking in the fantastic scenery. The open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen were very nicely furnished and very well equipped (Satellite TV was a nice bonus). The sunny pool terrace is great for relaxing and for having a BBQ and privacy is ensured as no other properties directly overlook the villa. The roof terrace is also a great place for sunbathing. The lower ground floor provides 3 airy bedrooms, each of which have ample wardrobe space and the essential air-conditioning! A huge advantage in hiring this villa is that it includes the use of a smart Honda CRV, which awaits you at the villa on arrival. This means not having to spend valuable time arranging a vehicle independently. The village of Peyia is only a few minutes drive away and has several nice bars and restaurants and a choice of well-stocked supermarkets. Coral Bay is no more than a 10 minute drive away. All in all this spacious modern villa was a delight to stay in and we left with a definite desire to return one day. Mr & Mrs M. Dixon, Stockton-on-Tees, U.K.
"The villa was absolutely fantastic. You could hear a pin drop at night and the food in Cyprus way exceeded my expectations. Booking process was easy and couldn't have had a much better time." Review submitted by Kenneth from Grimsby
"The weather was just amazing, so was the views. I would love to own a villa like this myself. We will be back." Review submitted by Shirley from Bristol
"My partner and I stayed at Villa Paros for 2 weeks in May '08 with another couple, and had a wonderful time. It felt very much like home from home. A big thank you must go to Maggie and Geoff who ensured that all of our requirements were met during the stay. Inside the villa, the furniture / appliances can't be faulted. As a music lover, the Bose iPod dock was perfect! During our holiday, the washing machine broke, so Maggie immediately arranged for the use of a nearby apartment until a brand new machine was delivered two days later. Externally, the swimming pool / bbq terrace were great. It must also be said that the views from the balconies and roof terrace are spectacular to say the least. The Honda CRV is a necessity if you wish to explore further afield than Peyia. Although not normally the type of people to visit the same destination twice, Villa Paros could certainly tempt us to change our minds. I would definitely recommend this villa to my friends."
Richard from Wirral
