The Umbria region

The Umbria region is known as the green heart of Italy. A stunning landscape that includes many of the most beautiful medieval towns and cities, Florence and Rome are both easily reachable by train from Orvieto. The Bolsena Lake, housing a Papal summer residence is great for a dip and the coast is also a long but manageable day trip. Our unique location in the middle of a natural reserve is still so pure and unspoiled that the month of June is a haven for fireflies and porcupine. Wild flowers are abundant and the shade of 400 year old chestnut trees and huge oaks allow our guests to feel like they are really getting away from it all while being within a few minutes of world class restaurants, interesting shops and amazing towns.
