“ Villa Bianca ” is a comfortable villa at only 5 minutes walk from a magnificent peaceful sand beach dipped into the astonishing landscape of the Belice Natural Reserve.

The property is surrounded by a Mediterranean garden and an olive grove (5000 mq). The villa is also equipped to dine outdoors. The total living area is of about 140 mq on two floors: a large living room, a spacious well equipped kitchen, four bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a laundry room. The house is very fresh in the summer, comfortable and charmingly furnished and it has wood ceilings on the first floor.

This property is ideal for anyone wanting to relax, to enjoy a marvelous sand beach which is never crowded, with clear, blue, absolutely clean sea water while discovering all that Sicily has to offer. Villa Bianca is well positioned for doing just that.

For those who especially appreciate good wine, the city of Menfi, at ten minutes drive, is famous for its wine production; in June an event called “Inycon”, dedicated to wine, takes place.

It is very easy to reach Villa Bianca from Palermo or Trapani airports. Villa Bianca is only a few kms away from the famous archeological site of Selinunte, about 30 minutes drive from the Temples Valley in Agrigento, from Segesta temple and theatre, from Marsala, from the island of Mothia and its 'Stagnone' or 'big pond', from Sciacca and only one hour drive from Palermo, Trapani and Erice.

The Sicily region

Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. Its territory is mostly hilly, apart from some higher mountains along the Northern coast (the Peloritani, Nebrodi and Madonie) and the highest and major active volcano in Europe, Mount Etna (3323 m). Sicily is surrounded by many smaller , extremly fascinating islands, such as Ustica, the Eolie (or Lipari) group, comprising two more active volcanoes, Stromboli and Vulcano, then the Egadi group, Pantelleria and Pelagie Isles. The geographical position of the island in the centre of the Mediterranean made it a crossword of cultures and peoples. The richness of sicilian history throughout the centuries has left many remarkable traces in the whole island , where archeological sites and artistical riches abound.

Greek culture left a significant trace on the island , still visible in its archeological sites and temples , many of them in the neighborhood of Menfi : the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento; the temple and the greek theatre in Segesta; the temples in Selinunte, and the caves of Cusa

Sicily is one of the few regions in the world with an extraordinary archaeological, artistic and naturalistic heritage.

Menfi

Menfi is a peaceful town on the southern coast of Sicily in the province of Agrigento, between Sciacca and Selinunte, situated on a hill above the sea. Today Menfi produces mainly agricultural products, such as artichokes and olives and, above all, its good wine. Near Menfi there is Porto Palo, a small fishers' village with pleasant restaurants and pizza places. Menfi and Porto Palo are famous for their peaceful and safe beaches which can boast the Blue Flag award for their absolutely clean water.
