Located in a scattered hamlet with great views around of Lake Vinuela and the surrounding mountains. Bedroom with double bed and en suite bathroom, great size lounge . Outside features include a large swimming pool, with sunbeds and shade, two private patio areas and bbq. The Attico apartment is a perfect get away for those who want to relax and recoup and yet only a short drive to local amenities, Lake Vinuela and beaches. The pool is 8m x 4m square. The surrounding views show the Tejeda Mountains and there is a Buddhist temple locally which is one of only 3 in the world. Chill out and do nothing or explore the glory of Andalucia! In cooler months is also a great restreat for walkers with plenty of routes around to enjoy. Come and enjoy you will love it!
The Attico has a great spacious feel with a good sized kitchen and 2 terraces, most suitable for couples who want to really chill out. Has lovely views of the Andalucian mountains and is completely private.

The Andalucia / Malaga Province region
The Axarquia region is East of Malaga where we enjoy tropical climates and beautiful mountain ranges close to the sea. Many of the coastal villages have become fashionable resorts yet still retain their charm. Eating and drinking is a real pleaure in sidewalk cafés or on the beach.
Granada and the Siera Nevada are around an hour drive from the Lake area where you can ski from November to May. Alhama de Granada boasts natural hot springs open to the public all year round.
The Nerja Caves are well worth a visit and host annual music and dance festivals within its famous caverns. At the foot of Nerja town there is a winding footpath joining several coves with some great beaches to be discovered. Head to the cosmopolitan marinas of Marbella. Costa del Sol/Axarquia really does offer something for everyone.
The Lake Vinuela area
You can expect a stunning sunset and magnificent mountain views from Lake Vinuela. In winter snow-capped mountain ranges are reflected in the aquamarine waters, before they sweep down to the beaches and towns of the Costa del Sol. Enjoy a tapas, sample the local wine or try horse riding around the Lake. Come and try the location in October/November you will be surprised at how glorious it is in these months.
Join in the fun at one of many fiestas held in all the villages and towns throughout the year. Local shops can be found at the Eroski Centre, and there is a camping area nearby selling local produce. Vinuela has banking facilities, supermarkets and a health centre.
If you are inspired to paint this is a lovely area to use as a subject. The nearest village would be Los Romanes, which is about a 10 minute drive and has a supermarket to pick up those essentials. The local seaside resort of Torre del Mar is a 15/20 minute drive away.

Me and my wife were very happy to stay, the place in the Vinuela area is simply gorgeous, the owners are very friendly, the rental house is spacious and well equipped, a good location to go to swim in the sea or to visit famous Spanish cities like Granada, Malaga, Cordoba, Sevilla, or to go to Gibraltar. I strongly recommend! |

On arrival we found the apartment very nice and the location lovely- although the drive up to the apartment was difficult and not suitable for people who do not travel well or have little nerve in a car. It states that there is a private pool- which is untrue, we had to share the pool for 10 days(out of our 14 days there) with the owners daughter and her boyfriend. Which was a massive disappointment to both myself and my partner, after booking the apartment with a private pool. Also never were we shown a washing machine and had to do our washing by hand on holiday. Other than this the actual apartment and location were lovely and the owners did help where possible. Response: Very pleased you found the Attico and location lovely and commented that we were helpful to you. You arrived in the dark late at night, we do not have street lights up a mountain in Andalucia, the main track is tarmacked with only 3 minutes of additional graded dirt track which is easily driveable in normal hire cars, if you are a nervous driver a car with a bit of oomph is better. The pool is private in a private house, shared only on very few occasions with the occupants of the house, i.e. other family members that may be there at the time, and we very much give priority to Attico renters and respect their privacy. There is not a tick box for this scenario. Your calculations are unfair, our daughter was only here for 7 days and used the pool on only 3 occasions. Sorry you were disappointed, but I would like to allow my family to have a swim now and again in our pool during holiday times too. There are laundry facilities on site but not in the Attico. If you had asked we would have taken care of this for you. You stated on your departure that you very much enjoyed your stay with us in Andalucia and we hope you will return another time. |

Fabulous holiday yet again,second time at the attico and hopefully more to come. Excellent peaceful location, with amazing views of the lake. Gill and Chris the owners very helpful and extremely friendly. (Chris also makes a mean gin and tonic). |
