Hilltop Hideaway sits in its own 5 acre olive grove, secluded but not isolated. The views are stunning from all around the house. Local bars, restaurants and shops and the fabulous lake of Iznajar are just a few minutes away. At the lakeside there is a huge beach where you can swim and hire pedaloes, canoes sunbeds and parasols. The landscape in this area is nothing short of spectacular. Rolling hills for mile after mile are covered with olive groves and Mediterranean oak. The pace of life is slow and gentle, perfect for a relaxing holiday away from the crowd. The Villa is fully registered and licensed as a Casa Rural Superior, offering an unrivalled standard of accommodation all year around. The house, Hilltop Hideaway Iznajar, has won Trip Advisors Travellers Choice Award.

LOCATION

The location of the property is also perfect for daytrips to the most famous historic gems of Europe. Cordoba with its Mesquita, Granada and the Alhambra Palace and Seville are each just an hour away. Alternatively discover the seaside and spend a day at one of the beaches of Costa del Sol or visit Malaga.

To get to the house you drive through olive groves on a tarmac road, there is plenty of room for parking.

VILLA

Entering through the main front door you will come into living room, which is a large 860 ft2 open plan area, the dining table seats 12. The living area has a large glass-fronted woodburner, (wood is included in the house rental) flat screen TV, two sofas and a coffee table. Another two-seater sofa and two wooden armchairs are arranged alongside the opposite book-lined wall to form a cosy reading corner. There is a huge selection of books and DVD's. The TV also has a media player with films, TV box sets etc. There is underfloor heating throughout for winter rentals. To the left of the living area is a small and colourful cloakroom with a wc and hand basin. The pirate-themed decor will delight youngsters.

From the living room there is a door to an interior Spanish style patio courtyard with a pretty water feature in the middle. The large bedrooms, 178 ft2 each, lead off this courtyard and have views of the courtyard and the olive groves. The windows are double glazed and can be opened two ways: open and tilted. Every bedroom has a ceiling fan and the screened windows can be kept open for the cool breeze at night. Each bedroom has built in wardrobes, a desk, chair, hairdryer and a TV/DVD player.

The en suite bathrooms (for each bedroom) are huge wet rooms with showers, wc, hand basin, well-lit mirrors and non-slip floors. Each bathroom is absolutely gleaming and pristine. All bathroom towels are included.

Also leading off the main living room is the large kitchen, a perfect meeting place, especially with a glass of wine whilst dinner is cooking. There are twin sinks, four-ring range cooker with oven as well as another electric oven, fridge-freezer, additional fridge and dishwasher. As you would expect, there's a traditional coffee machine, kettle, toaster and cutlery along with all the utensils you could need. The kitchen meets the living room in the form of a granite counter-bar, ideal for laying out buffet style meals or a selection of drinks and tapas.

A separate entrance, from the ground floor of the villa, leads to the staircase of the apartment. Hence this part can be totally separate from the ground floor. The apartment sleeps 4 persons. It contains one double bedroom (173 ft2) with ensuite bathroom with shower, one twin bedroom (150 ft2) with bathroom with bathtub.

The living room has a cosy seating area with a logburner, a dining area for 6 persons and a fully equipped American kitchen. The living room leads to a private terrace where you can watch the beautiful colourful sunset which will surprise you every evening.

Further details outdoors

The wide terrace (1292 ft2) at the front of the house offers spectacular views. It is furnished for al fresco dining and star gazing. In addition to the large marble dining table there are adirondack style chairs and glass topped tables, just perfect for relaxing after dinner. In the cooler months we have an outdoor log burner and snuggle blankets. The terrace has lots of lovely plants and spectacular views of the surrounding olive covered hills. A Moroccan-style seating area has cushions for taking tea in comfort while enjoying the views. It is also a great place for an afternoon read. The house is very large and has lot of outdoor room.

The swimming pool is in the shape of a guitar. The shallow end is very shallow so is perfect for little ones (or big ones!) just to splash around in. The pool has an electronic pool hoist and is night lit. Pool towels are provided. Water for the swimming pool comes directly from the spring fed well on the land.

The 'beach' area around the pool has a shaded section with sunbeds and offers spectacular views. There is also a pool hoist for guests who need assistance getting into and out of the water.

There is a gas BBQ on the front terrace.

Rental is for the exclusive use of the house for your family or group.

For guests who stay longer than one week there is a linen change, part way through your holiday.

A local restaurant offers a ´Cooks Night Off´ option. Meals are delivered to the house ready for you to warm or can be put in the fridge ready for your arrival. In addition the restaurant offers some great welcome packs. All our guests will receive a comprehensive info pack for this option.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Balazs (the owner) a message.

If Balazs (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
