The property sits in the pretty village of Ginestas, which has a boulangerie, tabac, general store, wine bar, and a couple of restaurants. For history lovers, Minerve and Carcassone are close by and Narbonne, with it's enormous, striking yet unfinished Cathedral, is the closest large town. The Mediterranean coast is about 35km from the house.

High ceilings and exposed beams sit above a sleek, fully fitted kitchen with an island and modern furnishings such as colourful Eames-style dining chairs and sofas.The house has reversible air conditioning units and there is a log burner in the open plan living room.

Bedroom 5 has a sofa bed, 2 bean bag chairs, TV and DVD.

Wi-Fi, Satellite TV in French and English a DVD player & a selection of books. There are reversible air conditioning units, electric heaters, a wood burning stove.
The house also has a travel cot and high chair, 2 hairdryers an iron and board and a safe for client use.
Two sets of stone steps lead down from the house to the large courtyard which is protected by the original barn walls and is a lovely private setting for swimming, dining and relaxing.
The swimming pool of 8m x 4m is heated and has an alarm. There are Roman steps leading into the pool at one corner for easy access.
To one side there is lounge seating area and a dining table for 8 people. At the far end the summer kitchen, sheltered by a pergola, is equipped with a built in gas plancha, hob, fridge, sink and dishwasher so little need for trips back and forward to the house. There is also a small area of artificial grass.

The city of Carcassonne apprx 50km - UNESCO site - famed Cathar strong hold towering above the town itself.
The Pyrenees mountains and the Spanish border are within driving distance from this holiday home.
