"Perfect Stay at the Hut"
Lovely warm welcome from Rachel when we arrived! Stayed at the Hut last Sunday and the weather was lovely , the hut has everything you need and its beautifully decorated , we took our bikes with us and biked to the local pub with directions from Rachel , when we returned we used the BBQ facilities and popped open a bottle , we sat outside in the sunshine and enjoyed the views whilst eating , the fire pit was great as it dropped a little cooler so we has some marshmallows on there before going inside the hut for the night , we didn't really need the log burner on as the hut is warm and cosy, but we used it anyway . shower & toilet facilities are just up the garden and are lovely and clean and modern with a fridge to use for drinks and food, plus tea and coffee facilities . slept like a baby In the hut , bedding is lovely and snug and the bed is super comfy . woke up to another sunny morning where we sat outside and enjoyed the breakfast hamper , lovely touch and the breakfast is a fab glamping treat ! "Romantic and beautiful"
The situation is fantastic with beautiful views over the Peak District. The shepherd's hut was beautifully decorated, being light and airy in summer but also very cosy and warm in winter. There is great attention to detail with the amenities of both the hut and the shower room. The hosts were lovely and welcoming, and the breakfast hamper and fire pit were lovely touches. It was excellent value, and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to couples looking for a romantic break.

"glamping with a difference"
Hosts were really helpful and enjoyed this as never camped before always hotels-did miss en-suite, however facilities are close by and good standard.Very peaceful and think you need to have more than 1 night to fully enjoy this experience. We do feel the breakfast was small and unexciting but nice to have picnic basket delivered to door in the morning.

"Cosy little gem of a place."
The Hut is gorgeous!! It's spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and very toasty, as is the shower/amenities room. Set in amazing countryside with fabulous views and acrobatic bat flybys at dusk, it's the perfect base for exploring the surrounding area or just snuggling up with a good book. The owners clearly take a a great deal of pride in the property and the service which they provide and it shows. We had a really warm welcome from Rachel and the breakfast hamper she provided each morning (at a time to suit) was a delight. There's plenty to see and do in the surrounding area and lots of lovely places to eat. For something a little different try a visit to, or takeaway from, Stella's Kitchen, on the outskirts of Eyam - She does amazing Afro-Caribbean food. If you feel brave enough, go to Hathersage for a swim in the outdoor pool, followed by a drink and bite to eat in the pool cafe. All in all we had a fabulous stay at The Hut, so a big thank you to Rachel and Hayden for creating such a fantastic little treasure.

"Gorgeous, cosy and romantic Shepherds Hut"
I surprised my Husband on our 20th Anniversary, and what a surprise he had! Booking was very easy, with suggestions of places to eat out and then even booked for us. The hut is in a beautiful location with stunning views and so quiet. The hut itself is very warm, cosy and beautifully decorated - I would like to say 'home from home' but it's better than my home!! The shower and toilet are separate and have the same attention to detail, with tea making facilities and immaculately clean. We ate out at The Bulls Head in the next village and had a lovely meal, and even sampled the Black Sheep ale which went down a treat, again our hosts thoughtfully gave us a lift there. Breakfast was left for us at a time of our choosing and there was no rush to leave, which is a good job as we didn't want to!! A wander round Eyam, the Craft Centre and a recommended slice of courgette and lime cake at the tea room in the square, and our romantic few days was over. I would like to thank our hosts for every thoughtful thing they did, every attention to detail and for making our anniversary so memorable. Your Shepherds Hut is amazing!!!!

"Digital Free Days with a Teenanger"
The Hut was booked as a Christmas gift from my wife for my 16 year old son and myself, he would be 17 while we were on our two night stay - so we decided to digital free for our time there, and would thoroughly recommend this option. Day 1, we spent most of the day in the rain, walking the Monsal Trail from Bakewell, hoping by chance to find a pub at some point for lunch and a bus at the end - without planning it and following on some device or other... freedom. In the evening we went to the local pub, retiring to the hut for a nightcap with a good book. Day two was glorious weather, and a shorter walk followed by a great lunch at the Barrel, and an afternoon by the Hut fire pit with a good book, then off to the Bulls Head at Foolow for a great evening meal - and back once again to the fire pit to polish off the books. All in all, a great few days spent in a wonderful place with our lovely host Rachel. Take time out from life, and treat yourself to the great outdoors - digital free..... and long may it last.

"Beautiful hut, stunning location, excellent value for money!"
We had 3 nights staying at the hut, we arrived at 4 and were greeted by Rachel who showed us round the hut and washroom and made it clear to us if we needed anything all we needed to do was ask. As we moved our things into the hut Rachel booked us in at a local pub for a meal that evening. The hut itself is absolutely beautiful, we were looking for an escape from reality and we found it. Breakfast was delivered to the hut every morning (thankyou Rachel, it was really nice!!) The washroom has an amazing shower and toilet, very clean. My only thing is that i felt a little like i was invading on their space as their fridge freezer and washing machine is in there too but having said that the door locked from the inside and has a blind you can pull down across the door window. We went for this option rather than a hotel so that me and my partner could spend some quality time together and its exactly what we got, there are some games in the hut and books and although we didnt have time to use the fire pit provided we did get to see the stars and even saw a meteor late one night. Plenty of walking to be done around the peak district, i can highly recommend 'Dovedale' and 'Castleton' if you fancy a bit of a drive then a nice walk but also Eyam itself is full of history, we took a walk up to the riley graves, the view from there is breathtaking! So that was our little break, it was amazing value for money and would love to go back in the summer sometime to do it all again. Thankyou so much Rachel, i hope everybody that comes to your hut enjoys it as much as we did.
