"Fantastic setting with comfy cosy accomodation."
Myself and my partner stopped at the hut for 2 nights in November. We had been staying in Nottingham for a few nights preceding so we couldn't wait to get somewhere quiet and relaxing.
The hut is situated right at the bottom of the owners garden, it's not too overlooked and provides really great views over the village. It has a picnic table and seating area outside with a fire pit. It was relatively mild so we managed to have a fire the first night which was great, plenty of wood was supplied for this.
Inside, despite its size manages to fit plenty in. It has a good size double bed, small table with two chairs, sideboard with plenty of books and games and a log burner in the corner. There is loads of under bed storage for your bags. It is finished to a great standard. Absolutely nothing feels cheap.
The wash room is a little walk up the garden, it is really not far, we often camp so it felt super close for us. It was extremely clean and well finished. With tea, coffee, cafetiere and ground coffee as well.
The owner was fantastic. Extremely helpful when needed, but otherwise gave us loads of privacy. Breakfast came in a hamper, with natural yoghurt, fresh rolls, home made jam and granola. She even made a cup of tea/coffee how you wanted it in a individual thermos. The hamper is left on the picnic table outside in the morning for any time you choose. So you really are not disturbed.
The village itself is really nice, we intended to go for a walk round the village on the second day but ended up in the pub for slightly longer than intended...
Overall this is a fantastic place and would recommend it to anybody wanting a quiet few nights away.

"Welcoming, cozy retreat"
Booked the Hut for 2 nights as a mid-way stop when travelling up North. It was cozy & relaxing, in a beautiful spot. We were lucky in that we got snow so spent our time walking & sledging! Rachel was … More

"Perfect and peaceful"
It was a fabulous experience from booking through to checkout. I was so impressed by the website but the hut and location are far better than the gorgeous images.
We arrived at about 8.30pm, the hut was toasty warm and welcoming. The breakfast hamper kept the smiles going!
The attention to detail is second to none, noting has been overlooked.

"Just perfect in every way!!!"
Tranquil setting for a nights stay in the cutest shepherds hut.
We arrived to a winter wonderland as it had snowed the day before, Rachel had created such a lovely setting with the festoon lights glistening and had even built little igloos from the snow with tea lights in them, they looked beautiful glowing in the snow. The hut was pristine and had everything we needed, we felt at home especially with the log burner blazing, very warm and cosy.
The next morning we got a breakfast hamper delivered at our requested time and it was delicious and set us up for a long walk around the beautiful surroundings of the Peak District. This stay really did make our Christmas break so special and can't recommend it enough, we will be returning in the summer, just perfect.

"What a treat!"
Two words will summarise our stay at the hut: Simply schmazing. Stayed here for two nights for our mini honeymoon. Location was great - peaceful, and cosy corner. The hut - very nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. The fire place inside was a bonus (kept us warm during the cold windy wet days of December). It was the perfect place to chillax. There was a radio to keep us company. The bathroom and mini kitchen were a short walk from the hut itself....provided a warm shower, and also a place to make multiple cups of tea/coffee! Breakfast was provided in a basket...and it was scrumptious. I would definitely recommend this to anyone...as it was certainly a fun experience living in a hut..... taking camping up to another level => glamping. The owners (Rachel and Hadyn) were very friendly and accommodating.

"Cosy and unique in a beautiful setting"
We were so excited to stay in The Hut after falling in love with it online and we were not disappointed. Rachel greeted us so warmly and gave us a tour of the hut and washroom, both of which were beautifully decorated, clean and cosy. We were a little concerned that the hut would be chilly due to our stay being in the middle of December, but that was not the case! We were very warm and comfortable for the duration.
The hut is full of lovely little touches, sweets by the bed, two wine glasses, a digital radio, fairy lights... Everywhere had something thoughtful. Plus, Rachel did a great job of bringing Christmas to our stay! It was so lovely to wake up in the morning and open the shutters to see a lovely view of the sunrise, too.
Breakfast was delivered without us even noticing and was delicious! The hut is located in a perfect place for day tripping. We took a scenic drive around Edale and the High Peaks, visited High Street Books in New Mills and had dinner in Buxton. When we arrived on Sunday evening, Rachel booked us in for a table for two at The Barrel Inn in Bretton that was only a short drive away and had lovely food.
We had a superb stay, the accommodation was beautiful, the place was lovely and Rachel was a perfect host. We didn't want to leave! We will definitely be back again. A great few days for relaxation and exploring.

"A little gem!"
Me and my boyfriend decided we wanted to get away for one night. The hut lived up to expectations, very cute, comfortable and warm! The little touches made it - christmas tree, decorations, mistletoe, and the love hearts next to the bed!
We were warmly greeted by Rachel when we arrived, even though we stayed one night we were made to feel very welcome. We were lucky it was a clear night so we could use the fire pit which was excellent!..
We would recommend the hut to anyone who just wants to get away for a night or two - the hut and bathroom/shower was extrenmely clean.
Definately worth a stay!!

"Perfection in a hut!"
I was looking for someone to have some 'alone time' in a beautiful setting, to experience some solitude and some hill walking. I couldn't have chosen better. The hut itself is beautifully decorated, with some special touches and it is obvious that a lot of thought has been given to the comfort of the guests. The breakfast hamper was a delight, the attention to detail in every aspect coukdnt be faulted. I felt relaxed, had the freedom to come and go but also knew that assistance and advice was only a phone call or door knock away. I wish I could have stayed longer, but the real world was calling.
