"We loved it"
We stayed for two nights and loved the hut - it's cosy and comfortable and feels very private. It was warm enough that we didn't need the fire, but we can imagine it would be nice in cooler weather. Rachel was an excellent host and the breakfast delivery is a nice touch which was just the right size for us. Washroom facilities are very good. The info in the hut on the local area was very useful - we walked to the Bull's Head and the Barrel Inn for food in the evening and ate well in both. Overall a lovely place to stay and so close to so many pretty places to visit - we'd wholeheartedly recommend!

"So cosy it hurts"
Truly different and truly cosy. This place is so romantic and comfortable. From the minute you arrive you will receive a wonderful warm welcome. Rachel is a very kind and friendly person. Great suggestions for good places to visit. The hut is equipped with everything you could need for a warm and comfortable romantic night or more. The attention to detail and deco is superb. We were impressed as we approached the hut (situated at the base of the garden) and even more so when we got inside to find such an inviting love nest. There is a mini wood burner inside, and also a powerful mini radiator. There is more than enough warmth provided, as well as what you might bring to the place yourself when you see it. There is a picnic bench outside, and extra table and chairs around the back. A fire pit is available too. Based on one of Rachel's suggestions, we tried the Bulls' Head pub nearby. Wonderful welcome and food. The pies are very tasty and homemade. The morning breakfast hamper provides you with everything you need for the morn. It is delivered outside your hut at a time suitable for you. Full washroom and shower facilities are provided just near the house. This is for your intended use. Could not recommend this place enough. PS Google Maps will get you there but say it is on the other side of the road. It's on the left, second house.

"Lovely 2 night Break"
We stayed for 2 nights and had a lovely and very comfortable stay! The hut is beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you need and more. We made the most of the lovely weather and outdoor space with seating area, fire pit and bbq. The wash room and kitchen facilities were great too and Rachel made us a lovely breakfast each morning. Would definitely recommend staying here for something a bit different along with a very welcoming feel!

"The Understated Shepherd Hut"
What a lovely idea that Rachel has brought to fruition. We loved the hut, its quietness, its coziness and the breakfast in a hamper. The service is in the background and gives just the right amount of attention and privacy.

"Amazing little getaway!"
I was taken on a surprise getaway by my partner for my birthday. I was very surprised to see this little hut in a tiny village. It was beautifully situated, with a lovely homely feel to the interior. The owner supplied everything we could need: fire-pit, BBQ (bring your own coal), candles, log burner...everything down to the tea bags. Located in the beautiful village of Eyam with lovely local pubs and tea rooms just a walk away. We only stayed the one night and I wish we could have stayed longer it was beautiful, very peaceful. The hut is fairly close to the owners main house but they are very friendly and easy going! Thank you for an amazing time!!!!!!!!

Our stay was the result of a 50th birthday present from my son to my hubby. It was something completely different and we loved it. Rachel, the owner, has really put some thought into this little bit of escapism. The hut is truly amazing! Our evening meal was booked for us at The Bulls Head and that was fab, on our return the outside lights had been switched on - the hut looking so pretty and quaint against the dark. Breakfast in the morning was delivered in a hamper basket and was simply delicious. Would definitely recommend "The Hut" to all!

"Perfect Stay at the Hut"
Lovely warm welcome from Rachel when we arrived! Stayed at the Hut last Sunday and the weather was lovely , the hut has everything you need and its beautifully decorated , we took our bikes with us and biked to the local pub with directions from Rachel , when we returned we used the BBQ facilities and popped open a bottle , we sat outside in the sunshine and enjoyed the views whilst eating , the fire pit was great as it dropped a little cooler so we has some marshmallows on there before going inside the hut for the night , we didn't really need the log burner on as the hut is warm and cosy, but we used it anyway . shower & toilet facilities are just up the garden and are lovely and clean and modern with a fridge to use for drinks and food, plus tea and coffee facilities . slept like a baby In the hut , bedding is lovely and snug and the bed is super comfy . woke up to another sunny morning where we sat outside and enjoyed the breakfast hamper , lovely touch and the breakfast is a fab glamping treat ! "Romantic and beautiful"
The situation is fantastic with beautiful views over the Peak District. The shepherd's hut was beautifully decorated, being light and airy in summer but also very cosy and warm in winter. There is great attention to detail with the amenities of both the hut and the shower room. The hosts were lovely and welcoming, and the breakfast hamper and fire pit were lovely touches. It was excellent value, and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to couples looking for a romantic break.

"glamping with a difference"
Hosts were really helpful and enjoyed this as never camped before always hotels-did miss en-suite, however facilities are close by and good standard.Very peaceful and think you need to have more than 1 night to fully enjoy this experience. We do feel the breakfast was small and unexciting but nice to have picnic basket delivered to door in the morning.

"Cosy little gem of a place."
The Hut is gorgeous!! It's spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and very toasty, as is the shower/amenities room. Set in amazing countryside with fabulous views and acrobatic bat flybys at dusk, it's the perfect base for exploring the surrounding area or just snuggling up with a good book. The owners clearly take a a great deal of pride in the property and the service which they provide and it shows. We had a really warm welcome from Rachel and the breakfast hamper she provided each morning (at a time to suit) was a delight. There's plenty to see and do in the surrounding area and lots of lovely places to eat. For something a little different try a visit to, or takeaway from, Stella's Kitchen, on the outskirts of Eyam - She does amazing Afro-Caribbean food. If you feel brave enough, go to Hathersage for a swim in the outdoor pool, followed by a drink and bite to eat in the pool cafe. All in all we had a fabulous stay at The Hut, so a big thank you to Rachel and Hayden for creating such a fantastic little treasure.
