This villa's prime position means there is no need for car hire, as it is situated 150 metres from bars and restaurant/700 metres- beach/ 10 min walk to main town- Costa Teguise, making this the ideal setting for a relaxing, family holiday.There is a private, heated swimming pool (heated not only with solar but with a heat pump which gives a guaranteed temp of min 25 degrees throughout the year + plus a paddle pool supplied for babies with+ soft play mats- the pool area is accessed through secure gates-ideal for families with toddlers).The spacious front sun terrace with large cane sofa ideal for grandparents has a large shaded canopy which over-looks the front garden beautifully lit at night. There is a Spanish style tiled dining table and large barbecue with access to the interior dining room, the complete area is well lit for evening dining-this area overlooks the private swimming pool which is also lit at night.
The private heated swimming pool has a secure gate which is lockable ideal for families with toddlers (when locked parents can relax as children have no access to the swimming pool). The pool is heated to 25 degrees min with not just solar but also a heat pump a must for winter holidays plus a paddle pool and play mats for toddlers.
Also appreciated by all mums with children is the circular washing line ,with easy access to the utility room with washing machine and 2nd full size fridge freezer (giving easy access to drinks from rear patio).

The Lanzarote region

The Canary Islands have the perfect climate - mild winters, summers that are hot but not unbearable due to the cooling effect of the cool Canary current from the Atlantic, and little rain. It is the perfect place to come to all year round.

There is much to do and see on the island, the thriving cosmopolitan centre of Arrecife, lazing on the beach in Costa Teguise, or a round of golf or a try your hand at windsurfing!

The islands main tourist attractions are easily accessible from Costa Teguise. Arrecife has an attractive waterfront and an important modern art museum in an old fortress. Several sights on Lanzarote are creations of the great local artist and designer, César Manrique. Within a half-hour drive of Costa Teguise are his remarkable Cactus Garden, his stunning subterranean nightclub and restaurant, Jaméos del Agua, Cuevas de los Verdes and the Fundacíon César Manrique, his amazing former home - now an important modern art gallery - built into underground volcanic caverns. There's plenty more! An hour away is the island's 'must see', a trip to the simmering summit of the live volcano, Timanfaya, set amidst a barren wilderness of lava. There’s the Mirador del Río with sheer cliffs 1000ft high, El Golfo, the lagoon and the pretty village of Yaiza, beautiful at sunset. The hustle and bustle of Teguise’s Sunday market is a favourite for visitors seeking a bargain. The renowned natural beaches of Papagayo are also worth a visit.

Children will enjoy the Rancho Texas theme park on the ring road near Puerto del Carmen, camel riding in Timanfaya and the Tropical gardens at Guinate. Our two enjoy kite flying on the windswept Famara beach on the north west coast of the island.

Lanzarote enjoys the shelter provided by the most westerly Canary Islands and the African coast. As a result it has relatively little rainfall. The climate is temperate and Lanzarote enjoys abundent sunshine all year round. The average temperature is 29° in August and 21° in January.

The Costa Teguise area

The Costa Teguise is one of the most popular resorts of Lanzarote. It is close to the airport, only a twenty minute drive, and has beautiful beaches, lovely shopping, bars and restaurants, sophisticated and fun. It is a great resort for families.

The weather is excellent all year round, with clear skies and sparkling waters. The beaches have fine, golden sand and are well looked after. You may find a breeze here and there which attracts windsurfers, and is also a blessing in the height of summer.

There are many activities you can do: watersports, visiting the cultural and tourist attractions and explore the fishing villages of the North of the island.

Costa Teguise also has the only golfing resort on the island, which is fantastic for the golf lovers among us!

“Everything you could possibly want & more, under one roof! Truly gorgeous.” Wow when we arrived at Villa Victoria we knew we had made an excellent choice. I can honestly say there isn't anything I would change about this beautiful villa, the owner has thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable & as for cleanliness, the place was spotless, which in my eyes is one of the most important things, especially when travelling with children. The villa was perfect for our 2 year old, very child friendly & the fact there was a locked gate to the villa & the pool area made it much easier, as he could roam about the patio & we knew he was safe. There was 7 of us, as we went on holiday with friends & their 2 children & the size of the villa was just right. We ate out most nights & the food & restaurants cannot be faulted, especially the price. Definately cheaper to eat out than shop at the supermarkets! We did an excursion to Rancho Texas & if theres 1 place I would say not to miss it would be this. What a fantastic day we had, the kids loved every minute & so did the adults. Well worth the money! To some up our weeks holiday, this was our 1st visit to Lanzarote & I hope it won't be the last. Would love to go back & I wouldn't stay anywhere else other than Villa Victoria. “Great villa, perfect for young children” We were a party of 4 adults and 2 babies. The villa was exactly as described, with lots of toys etc for the children. Sue was very helpful and even bought baby bouncer chairs for the children to use. The villa is very large with lots of space inside and out. There are loads of inflatables for the pool too which was great. The town is about 10 mins walk away, with several play parks en route. The town has everything that is needed for a nice holiday. “Very nice property - thoughtful and very helpful owners” The property is very nice indeed with all equipment you could wish for during a vacation stay. We chose this particular villa due to the child-friendly facilities and amenities and were not disappointed. “HIghly recommended” Very good villa for family with children. There was plenty of space, its clean and they had a lot of extras like sky, dvds/videos and Wi-Fi!. The location was only a 10min walk from the beach and lots of nice restaurants but equally it was nice to stay at the villa as there was sun all day round and a BBQ. The pool was clean and deep so teenagers could enjoy too. Everything was clearly labeled and lots of tips on nice restaurants and handy numbers like taxis etc. All in all exactly what we were looking for Response: For families wanting a change of venue we have another property 14197- just updating the photos in the next 7 days- we have more play equipment for the children and new furniture inside and out- please feel free to look in a few days- thank-you for your kind comments.

“Great place for spending your holiday” Stayed one week in Villa Victoria. The contact in advance with the owner Sue Yates, were great. She helped with everything in advance by mail. Wanted to have everything perfect for us. Villa Victoria is a big place for people; terrace with swimming pool at the back and a nice terrace at the front. Very nice for children; enough toys to play with and pool things. However we read that the town is at walking distance, we hired two cars. So we get to so something from Lanzarote. It wasn't a waist of our money. Costa Teguise is a nice little town; enough restaurants, bars, super markets. “Very well equipped villa, perfect for families.” We stayed at Villa Victoria in October 2011 as a group of four adults and two babies (aged 18 months and 4 months). We found the villa to be extremely well equipped, with everything we could have wanted. The villa caters particularly well for childern, and our toddler enjoyed playing with the toys from the toybox, the slide and the paddling pool. There were even two Fisher Price vibrating baby chairs available, which were very useful. The pool was lovely and very clean, it was also just the right temperature - cool enough to be refreshing but not enough to take your breath away! There was also a large box of inflatables by the pool, which meant that we didn't have to shell out for these. The sunbeds were very comfortable and there was sun in the back garden for the whole day, it just became partially shaded in the late afternoon. We didn't use the barbecue, but all of the utensils were there, and the outdoor dining table would have been great for this. The kitchen was very well equipped, with a large amount of crockery and utensils and there is a utility room containing a washing machine, ironing board and a freezer (for storing ice creams)! The living and dining rooms are very large with lots of comfortable seating, and a TV with some sky channels including Sky Sports. The villa also has a PC in the hallway, which is handy to use the internet, and the wifi password is supplied so we were able to use our iphones all week. The bedrooms are also large and comfortable with masses of storage space, particularly the master bedroom, which also has a good sized en suite with a bathtub. The nursery bedroom was great and had two single beds, a cot, a toybox and a TV and video. There was also a bookcase with a range of childrens books and videos. The villa was spotless when we arrived and we were provided with towels, which were changed midway through our stay. The street that the villa is in is very quiet, but is about a 25 minute walk or a short taxi ride from the resort centre. However the nearest bar is a few minutes walk away and there are a number of bars and restaurants and a couple of supermarkets within 10 minutes. We never felt the need to get a taxi and enjoyed the walk into the resort centre and back every evening whilst pushing a double buggy, so unless you have mobility problems I don't think the distance is a big issue. The resort of Costa Teguise is a family orientated resort with a large number of restaurants and bars, but no real late night nightlife and rowdiness, which suited us perfectly. There are also a number of childerns parks/play areas dotted around the resort, which we found handy (there is one 2 minutes from Villa Victoria). Overall, we loved our stay at Villa Victoria and intend to return in the future, we would definitely recommend it. “5 star luxury, 5 star surroundings, 5 star service” On our 4 th visit to Costa Teguise & Villa Victoria most definitely the best. The owner has thought of everything & was so considerate explaining lots to us before we had even set off. The villa is so spacious,with lovely terraces & garden areas. Families are well catered for in every aspect. We always look for 5 star properties & here we have found one. We will be returning. “Fantastic family villa” "Excellent spacious villa" We returned from a 2 week holiday in this villa last week. We all had a superb holiday and the villa was fantastic. Our party consisted of 11 people for the first week and 9 for the second week (6 adults, 5 children aged 3-12) - our family with 3 children - my sisters family with 2 children and my parents who came for the first week. Despite us being a large group there was plenty of room as the villa is so spacious and it never felt overcrowded. Both indoors and outdoors had plenty of room with enough seating for everyone. Everything had been thought of, it is especially well equipped for families with young children, there were books and toys inside as well as toys outside, our three young children enjoyed playing in the paddling pool and with the water tray. The lockable pool gate was excellent as we were able to relax when not using the pool whilst the younger ones were playing. It was extremely relaxing to sit on the front terrace on the comfy sofa in the evening, we often returned late afternoon to find my parents asleep there. The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need, Sue was also very helpful prior to the holiday giving us information about the villa and the surrounding area - beaches, restaurants etc. The villa is in an excellent location, quiet residential, yet within walking distance from restaurants, beach and into the main resort. There is no need to hire a car, my sister booked one prior to the holiday and rarely used it, we walked everywhere and occassionally got a taxi back from the town. We had a fantastic holiday and would recommend the villa to friends and would definitely book it again if holidaying in Lanzarote.
