House on cliff-side in small fishing village of West Bay on Jurassic coast of Dorset. Stunning views of Lyme Bay, the beach, cliffs and West Bay, can be seen from the master bedroom, living room/dining room, patio and garden. Listen to and watch the waves breaking on the beach below. Children and small pets welcome (dogs allowed on the beach all year). Off-street parking for two vehicles. Access to the house is via 36 paved steps. Non-smoking.
Master bedroom with double bed, second bedroom with twin beds, very comfortable double sofa bed in curtained off area of living room (with sea views). Open-plan living room and dining area, with wood floors and separate seating areas for beach-gazing, TV/video viewing, and dining. Well-equipped kitchen leads to living room/dining room and also through patio doors to garden with picnic table with sea views. Bathroom with bath, separate shower, bidet, toilet and sink. Ideal for couples or families.
Quiet and peaceful, yet only a one minute walk to the beach, superb cliff walks, the harbour, village shops (fishmonger, butcher, general store, post office etc) and beach stalls (for burgers, fish and chips, ice-creams etc). Within short driving distance of Lyme Regis, Weymouth, Dorchester, Hardy's Monument and cottage, numerous other coastal and other villages. Only 2-3 hours to London and London airports.

The West Country / Dorset region
West Bay, Dorset is a Golden Gateway to the Jurassic Coast, with majestic sandstone cliffs to the east and glorious cliffs leading to Golden Cap to the west. West Bay is a fishing village in Lyme Bay, and lies just 1 mile south of Bridport, a historic market town. It is situated at the western end of Chesil Beach / Chesil Bank, and the area is part of the Dorset Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.

Attractions include cliff, countryside and beach walks, swimming, river boating, scuba diving, fishing/angling, paragliding, golfing, fossil hunting. The famous Riverside Restaurant in West Bay serves fresh and local seafood; there are also numerous other restaurants and pubs in the area. With all this, and much more, West Bay is a wonderful seaside location for family holidays.
How to get there
2-3 hours drive from London airports, or 1-2 hours from Bristol, Exeter or Southampton airports. Trains to Crewkerne or Dorchester are a short taxi-ride from West Bay. West Bay is just a mile from the coastal A35 road.
