Our three-bedroom detached house is only 100m from the fine sandy blue flag beach at the easterly end of Bournemouth Bay near Hengistbury Head.

The house has full gas fired central heating and double glazing and is fully furnished to a good standard. All you need to bring are top and bottom sheets, pillowcases, towels, tea towels and toilet/bathroom requirements. High chair and cot are provided.

The accommodation is in good decorative order throughout and consists of: -

Ground Floor

Lounge 4.5m x 3.8m with sea views, Freeview TV and video. Leading to: -

Dining Room 4.8m x 4.1m with patio doors onto mature rear garden.

Kitchen 3.5m x 2.4m fully equipped including microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Leading to: -

Shower Room with W.C.

Upstairs

Bedroom 1 4.8m x 3.9m - Fully fitted with a double bed and extensive sea views.

Bedroom 2 4.1m x 4.0m - Double bed and one single bed plus vanity unit.

There is room for 2 cars on the Drive.

The keys to the Property will be posted to your home address one week prior to your holiday. We will provide a stamped addressed envelope for you to post these back to us on or immediately after your Departure Date.

You can access the Property from 15:00 hours on the Arrival Date and you are asked to vacate by 10:00 hours on the Departure Date.

Changeover day is Saturday.

The West Country region

Bournemouth is the top holiday resort on the South of England coast. Whilst it is famous for its shopping, restaurants, piers, gardens, band stands and nightlife it is the seven miles of sandy beach which is its greatest attraction. In greater Bournemouth there are literally dozens of family attractions so it is advisable to spend some time researching these before your holiday.

The biggest event of the summer is the annual airshow which deservedly attracts hugh crowds.

Should you wish to venture futher afield in your car try a day trip to the lovely Victorian resort of Swanage. You can drive via Wareham (do stop and visit the castle) or use the shorter route of the car ferry from Poole Harbour. Poole Park next to the harbour is definately worth a visit.

Salisbury (including the Cathedral and Stonehenge) makes an excellent day trip and have at least one day exploring the New Forest.

A ferry runs from Lymington to the Isle of Wight but please ensure you check the time of the last ferry back!

An hour's drive to Portsmouth may sound off-putting but if you have never seen HMS Victory and the Historic Dockyards you really should.

Bournemouth

Our house is situated about four miles to the east of Bournemouth town centre at the end of the seven mile prominade. Thus we enjoy a comparatively quite spot but can easily reach the town centre by car, bus (open top or cheaper public service) or an energetic level walk.

Immediately to our east is the historic nature reserve of Hengistbury Head. The view from the top is an absolute must. You can then decend for a round of golf or to take the Noddy Train to see the famous Mudeford beach huts. From in front of these beach huts take the ferry across to Mudeford Harbour where you can book a sea cruise or fishing trip or buy fish straight off the boat.

Alternatively leave our house and take the half hour stroll due north to Tuckton Gardens (on Tuckton Roundabout). This is a real beauty spot on the river with putting, tea gardens and a Harvester family pub (the nearest one). You can hire motor or rowing boats or take a ferry across to Christchurch. This beautiful town boasts a quite amazing church - Christchurch Abbey.

Christchurch Harbour is huge and affords amazing bird life. If you are a serious birder Mudeford Marshes often throws up a rare treat.

"Perfection!"

Don't be put off that the interior isn't very modern (do not mean this in a detrimental way), the house is absolutely perfect for a holiday to Bournemouth. The beach is a minutes walk away and is quiet and everything you need from a beach. The "main" Bournemouth beach is only a very short drive away if u fancy a day out there as well. Shower room downstairs is perfect to get sand washed off after a day on the beach and the garden is perfect for evenings sitting outside. Could not have asked for a better place to stay, we have great memories from our holiday at Roger and Maureen's home.
