The Andalucia region

Malaga is a province in Andalucia being the birthplace of flamenco and much of Spains culture . Ok everyone knows about the Costa del Sol but only the savvy venture Inland in search of the "real spain" with its orchards of orange and lemon groves , goats grazing on the hillsides and vast mountains , proper Tapas bars and outdoor Restaurants where the spanish actually eat themseles. As you venture away from the hustle and bustle of the coast something else changes too the pace of life here and the ambience of way things are done . Rural Spain can be sampled within 30 minutes of the aiprort of Malaga and of course if you feel the urge to visit the beach it is within easy reach too .Further afield still Andalucia is Granada with its famous Alhambra Palace . Seville and of course Malaga Capital with a newly opened Picasso Museum (his birthplace)

Alora

The area around Alora where the villa is based is indeed rural Spain , There are crystal clear lakes where you can hire a pedalo go walking by rivers , horseriding in the mountains, rock climbing , quad biking . or just chill by our pool. The charming small town of Alora has a castle perched on top of the hill an amazing 17th century church , a weekly market where locals exchange their produce or take coffee in the little bars in the town square

Many thanks for your stay here and your review . Its always a pleasure to see people enjoying the house and area . Ive taken your commnent on board and now there is a very large tall fridge and a seperate tall freezer. So a lot more cool storage. Hope to see you again some day for some more climbing or just relaxing by the pool. Thanks Terry

"A great place to enjoy time with friends!"

When searching for a villa in the Alora area, the thing that first caught our eye was the price. We did not want to pay a high price for something 'posh' so the description as "a large… More

Im pleased you enjoyed your stay at the villa and was happy to allow some members stay a little longer than normally allowed . We still had time due to a few days before our next changeover so it wasnt a problem. We would love to see you again as the pool temperature is fantastic now! in March it can be hot and miss but from Mid-End April onwards usually perfect for an afternoon swim. Many thanks for your visit and kind words

"Fantastic villa, amazing pool, beautiful scenery, typical Spanish town and get away from it all location"

Its difficult to begin a holiday villa business from scratch , But great to see that people have enjoyed their stay and would like to come back. I do need to try to include some more photos of the views to potential guests. Living here means I sometimes take them for granted .

"Unforgettable experience of the rural Spain"

Brilliant Place !

This was our first ever time of staying in Rural real Spain and I must say it wont be the last . Alora is a charming white village built on a Hill with amazing views if youre brave enough to drive the narrow streets to the castle at the top! The locals are friendly and helpful and theres plenty to see and do . Its only 30 minutes to the beach too we did a day travelling and a day by the pool.
The villa itself is great very spacious and so many bathrooms . Everyone loved the pool and there was a huge terrace too where we sat and ate breakfast and did a couple of BBQs There was free wifi which is great to use to plan where to go next . The owner Terry was very friendly and helpful with good tips on where to go . All in all a fantastic break
