we had a lovely week staying with Jane and Ian in Le Jardin. The gardens and pool area are well kept and very pretty. The bedrooms are a good size with double doors out onto the garden, making them nice and bright. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need. Jane and Ian were great at helping us when our daughter fell ill, making an appointment for us with their own English speaking doctor. Our only downside was the weather, not something anyone can control! …
Wonderful rustic, character gite situated in scenic settings.
Having never visited France before, it was wonderful to spend our first time in this beautiful country in such a gorgeous gite and extremely pretty village. Perfect to get away from it all and relax. The gite really did exceed our expectations and Karen was a perfect host and made us feel most welcome (She also makes fabulous jam ). Surprising spacious and bigger than we thought from the pictures on the website, the 5 of us (all adults) felt very comfortable in the gite. The lovely courtyard is sheltered by the fig trees and so peaceful especially for summer evenings with a bottle of wine or two. The village certainly is one of the most beautiful with some wonderful places to eat and drink within a short walk. Thank you to Karen and Christophe for all your help and support. We really enjoyed our holiday and as already said many times the gite is beautiful, gorgeous, and a delightful place to spend holidays. …
Warmest of welcomes
23rd -30th July 2011
Le Pinier Gites had been recommended to us by some friends who had stayed the previous year and had the most enjoyable time.
We had heard about how welcoming Jane, Ian and Murphy were towards new guests on arrival, but could not have anticipated the genuine warmth and kindness we received. It felt like we were being welcomed into their home. The welcome meal was not only wonderful, but also a kind and thoughtful introduction and gave us the opportunity to get to know our hosts. They were certainly unlike any previous owners of Gites we had encountered before. We have been holidaying in France for the last 12 years and never felt so at home.
The Gites were tastefully furnished and very well equipped. If we ever needed anything, Ian and Jane were very happy to help.
The pool was perfect for the children and adults, with plenty of sun loungers and parasols. In the barn held a host of games should the weather turn wet!
The surrounding countryside was stunning, they are in a beautiful location, with lots of sightseeing opportunities, local markets and outdoor activities to experience.
The whole experience was delightful and relaxing. But above all, Jane and Ian's warm friendship, fantastic cooking and location made the holiday very special indeed.

An idylic, rural gem.
This out-of-the-way location was a real get away from it all. But the remoteness was compensated by the warmth of the hospitality, the generosity of our hosts, and rural France has so much to offer for those prepared to seek it out. The coast was only an hour away and medieval Towns are in abundance. Jane and Ian were exceptionally lovely hosts who couldn't do enough for us. Such lovely touches that a busy mum delights in, such as a home cooked meal on arrival! Use of their bikes was also a fabulous bonus. The pool was great fun and the gite was perfect for our needs (linen and towels to die for!) Would not hesitate in recommending this holiday destination to anyone with a love of France and sense of adventure! …
