Properties on Holiday Lettings can be sorted/ranked in the following ways:
Orders properties using various data points, in particular: ratings, number of bedrooms/bathrooms, minimum number of nights, and data relating to the interest in/bookings of the property through us, including the advertiser’s rate of providing quotes to travellers who make enquiries. Other factors include price, property capacity, number of photographs, location, amenities, appearance in search results, page views, and the advertiser’s responsiveness and cancellation rate.
Price low to high / high to low
Orders properties based on either (i) the property’s minimum nightly price, if the traveller has searched without dates, or (ii) the average nightly price for the applicable week of the year, if the traveller has input dates.
Orders properties by total number of reviews attached to the listing (highest to lowest), irrespective of average score. Where there is a listing with the same number of reviews as another (or a listing with no reviews), properties are sorted according to their proximity to the searched location.
“Wonderful location, gorgeous view” Villefranche is a perfect base for exploring the Riviera by bus and train, and Christine's apartment is perfectly situated in the town. Whether we wanted to visit neighboring towns or just relax and enjoy the nearby beach, harbor, markets and restaurants, the apartment was most convenient and comfortable. The location is right on the edge of the old town, and not too steep a walk down. The grocery is practically out the back door, and there are several boulangeries close by. We did not have a car, and got around easily on foot and with the wonderful cheap buses and trains (except for the two days they were on strike).
The balcony and glass doors provide exquisite views of the harbor and Cap Ferrat. Morning coffee on the balcony started every day on a sunny note. In the evenings, shimmering Cap Ferrat and the Villa Ephrussi de Rothchild in the moonlight across the bay kept us from ever watching television! Everything in the unit was very clean and in good working order. The photos are completely accurate. If anything, the apartment is even more charming in person. The bed is a comfortable queen size. Kitchen and bath had every convenience, and washer was handy. The apartment is well supplied with beach equipment, books and DVDs, and the internet works great.
The close-in location has just a couple of drawbacks. Churchbells are very near, but they shut off at night and do not start again until 7AM. The apartment building is right on a main access road to the old town that can be quite busy in the day time. However, the noise calms down at night and did not keep us awake. Christine was lovely to deal with. She was very accomodating on schedules and all arrangements, and had great restaurant advice. I would be happy to return to Villefranche and Christine's apartment.
