Chardon Bleu - Spacious 12-14p ski chalet with stunning views
Lovely big chalet in a great location
We used this chalet for a group of 10 friends to go on a ski holiday - and it was a great find. The chalet has lots of space, with a log fire, sitting room, long dining table, fully equipped kitchen and five big bedrooms. It is in a perfect location not too far from the lifts (only a 5 min walk in ski boots) and has stunning views across the valley. PVR who rent the chalet were very helpful, assisting with taxi booking, bread deliveries, ski lift pass hire and answering our endless email questions.
Our group is a mixed level of skiers from beginners to experts and everyone enjoyed the Paradiski area as well, as there is a great range on offer. Vallandry itself has a few good bars and restaurants, it is not a pumping party town - but being a group of 10, we weren't bothered by that, and enjoyed a few aprés drinks off the slopes before enjoying the chalet.
We have stayed in a lot of self-catered ski chalets and this is by far the best one we've found. We will be back! …
Vallandry 26 is a cozy chalet that sleeps up to 6p and is centrally located
Beautiful views, perfect location.
The chalet is perfectly located close to the ski lift and amenities and the views across the valley from the chalet are beautiful. The kitchen is well equipped with all the essentials and the owner has recently installed uk sky tv, which was extremely helpful for amusing young children. The chalet staff were very helpful and ensured that everything was ok. The only negative is that there are a number of steeps steps to navigate to the chalet which makes getting down bags and buggies difficult and would make it unsuitable for the less able. …
7p, 3 bed apartment situated directly on the piste!
Fantastic location, great apartment, helpful team....Recommended
It was a delight to be greeted with such warmth and the team were very helpful at all times. The location is fabulous immediately above Vallandry with easy access by road. We loved having ski-in, ski-out facility and the apartment was well laid out and equipped. Access to the ski lifts was quick and close. There were drying hooks and storage cupboards everywhere and the separate ski locker was actually big enough for once!
Make sure you have plenty of electricity adaptors as all sockets are French and hot water ran out a lot. Not for party animals but those who enjoy the piece and quiet. We will be going back next year :-) …
Chalet Le Grizzly sleeps 10p and is in the ski in/ski out Bellecote chalet park
Great living space and ski in ski out location, basic bedrooms and bathrooms
The chalet was comfortable and the living area was spacious. The views while sitting at the dining table were stunning and the balcony was a lovely place to sit and enjoy the late afternoon sun. The bedrooms were basic and quite small. The bathrooms were clean and a good size and there was always plenty of hot water. Shower doors rather than curtains would have made a big difference.
The chalet was in a great location for ski in ski out despite the spring conditions! The walk to and from the village was steep, and the supermarket did not have a large choice if you were self catering. The village was very quiet and not a place to go if wanting après ski atmosphere!
The service from PVR was friendly and efficient. …
Chalet Wittenburg, 12p chalet directly on the piste so you can ski to the door!
Full of adventure, brilliant time
We arrived in France during one of the worst episodes of snow fall in years.I was kept upto date by staff and directed to an emergency shelter in Chambery, despite feeling very anxious, we were travellling in a large group and the children of the group had a brilliant time before we travelled on to the chalet. The location of the chalet was perfect, directly on the slope, ideal when skiing with children.Staff were extremely helpful and chalet including its facilities was excellent. We are all hoping to return next year. …
Chateau Doggestein is a charming 8p chalet in the Ski in/Ski out Bellecote Park
Very comfortable chalet right next to the slopes
Two families enjoyed our stay in chalet Doggenstein. The chalet has a very homely feel with good living spaces, nice bathrooms and very comfortable beds. The chalet also scores highly on our Helpful Hook Index (!) with lots of hooks to hang towels, salopettes, bags etc - a small but oft-overlooked detail! We had hoped to put some of the children in the mezzanine bedroom but, although it would have been perfectly safe to do so, it was very open (noise-wise) to the sitting area so would not have been restful for either party.
We have stayed in PVR chalets before - admin and check in are very good and the bread and croissant service an excellent idea. The local pizzeria (Le Refuge) is excellent and we also had a nice couple of meals at !a Vache in Peisey.
All in all, a very good chalet and we would definitely stay there again. …
