“Peaceful getaway without the kids” My husband and I enjoyed our peaceful stay at Cedar Cove Cabin. This was the first weekend we had to ourselves since our 3 year old twin girls were born. We enjoyed sleeping in late and taking our time to make breakfast and leave the cabin for an outing. We ended up at the Cartecay Vineyards for wine tasting and live music. After that we went back to the cabin and enjoyed an awesome steak dinner that we cooked at the cabin...again sooo peaceful! I would enjoy going back to the cabin for another getaway with my hubby. I would not feel comfortable taking my girls only because of the steep drop off the side of the mountain in front of the cabin...if the girls were older I wouldn't have an issue, but not 3 year olds. The only suggestion I would make is take a roll of toilet paper. We arrived at the cabin around 9:30 Friday night to only find out there was no toilet paper in the cabin! We left the cabin around 10:00 to find what I would consider a very important item. I'm sure this was just an oversight, but not something we cared to deal with that late in the evening. Other than that everything was very nice.
