“A great winter holiday in a fantastic location and accommodation” This was our first experience of a "winter" holiday and what a great holiday it was. We spent many days at the local ski resort (Velika Planina) with our young son enjoying the sledging while we were learning to ski, although I think we may have to come back soon for more lessons ! The area was ideal for beginners like us and not too busy. The facilities in the chalet were superb and we enjoyed plenty of cosy nights in front of the fire. The chalet was well equipped with everything you could need. The view from the chalet of the New Year's eve fireworks in the valley have to be seen to be believed, it was amazing. All in all, a great trip and will definately return soon.

“A wonderful family experience in one of the most friendly and beautiful places in the world” We just got back from our weekend stay at Apartment Torkar and I wanted to hurry to right this review so others could see it and choose this remarkable place for their vacation. I traveled there with my husband, our daughters, and our dog over the long holiday weekend. The only mistake, thinking that a long weekend was enough time to spend in beautiful Slovenia! The Torkars are very gracious hosts and the apartment was immaculate when we arrived. The covered porch was a peaceful place to sit in the evening with a nice glass of wine and just enjoy the silence and reflect on the beauty that is all around you. We are Americans living in Germany for a short time so we have tried to make several short trips throughout Europe and typically rent apartments everywhere we go because of the children and the dog and this was one of the best experiences we have had. The children felt so at home and they were very upset when we had to leave. You will need a car to get around but, if you are flying into Ljubljana you would have one anyway. If you want bright lights and excitement then you should look elsewhere. If you are looking for peace, stunning beauty, and amazing company then you have found the right place. I would recommend it highly and I think we are going to break one of our rules about never doing the same thing twice and return here again!

Let's keep it a secret!

This wonderful apartment right next to Bled, undoubtedly one of the jewels in Slovenia's crown, has welcomed us with luxury throughout. From the quality of the finishings, to the excellent decorating taste and the incredible lighting and the terrace looking onto a welcoming garden with gazeebo, there was nothing but perfection. We were more than delighted, I would've actually moved in there. Also there is a parking with surveillance on site and at the back of the property you can see the mountains rising high. All in all an excellent apartment, perfect setting and last but not least the perfect host: responsive and attentive, we met only twice briefly throughout our stay. I understand that the road to Bled may get crowded in peak season, but since it so close there can't be that much of a delay (we've not had this problem at all), also the smaller bedroom was short of natural light, but there are plenty other amenities to make you forget about that, also plenty of space to sleep (6 other beds throughout the apartment). Lovely property in Bled

This house was very good. It was in a great location and very comfortable. We stayed for 16 days in the second half of September, going into early October, so the weather turned cooler. This meant we couldn't really spend much time on the lovely balconies, especially not in the evenings - and there is no inside living room. This was our only problem really - for 4 people the kitchen was a bit cramped when we all sat down together. The bedrooms are a great size and the bathrooms are excellent - it just needs a sitting room! … see more

We very much enjoyed our stay at Tatjana's lovely home with a warm welcome of home-made blueberry liqueur which we couldn't resist to by couple of bottles to take with us. The owners are hospitable and approachable for any questions. The place is cosy and tranquil with all amenities as described. Excellent location to visit Bled, the apartment is in a quiet location but only 10minute walk to the lake. Great view of the castle from the balcony. The accommodation was very clean and an useful kitchen. It had a good private parking area.
