“A piece of paradise” The service received went beyond all expectations - thank you so much to Gusti and Saba, for whom nothing was too much trouble and always received with genuine smiles ...friends rather than staff. The villa is breathtaking. Rice fields to the front, jungle to the rear separated by beautiful luxury accommodation and grounds. The villa is breathtaking...each bedroom feels different and the open air living room is so relaxing...yet strangely intimate too. Located some way from town meant peace and quiet, travel in and out of town easily organised by Gusti. I loved my stay there...my only regret is that i couldn't stay longer!

“A wonderful time at Rumah Sawaha Kita” My family and i really enjoyed a lot our stay at Rumah Sawaha Kita Villa : unlike most villa builded for rental, this one is owned by a charming guy (Geoffrey) who live there (and travel a lot in Indonesia, so we get the chance to rent his house). For these reason, the Villa have a very warm atmosphere, and we really had the feeling to be part of Ubud community during our stay. The 2 rooms (separated by a pond with Koi's) are very nice, the pool is wonderful, and both the living room (in main house) and dining room (fully opend to the garden) were pleasant place to relax. The staff is very very kind (Wayan came every morning to do the breakfast and clean, and Made to take care of the garden and the pool). A great place to stay, the week we spend there passed too fast and we will miss both Villa and staff.

“Nice gem in Ubud” We are 6 friends who stayed at Villa Jumah for 2 nights in August. There are many good points to Villa Jumah that covers some of it's inadequacies quite nicely. The villa is huge and extremely spacious for 6 people, big enough to hold a house party for up to 30 people. Clean, neat and tidy with good furniture and appliances such as the iPod dock in the living area and the pool table between the 2 rooms on the 2nd floor. The swimming pool is huge and we were able to swim proper laps in it, the smaller sized dip pool was a great place to chill in the afternoons with a couple of drinks, enjoying the light foliage surrounding the villa grounds. Villa Jumah is located slightly off the beaten track, about 15-20mins walk into Jalan Bisma, from Jalan Raya Ubud the main street of Ubud town. There are some restaurants and shops on Jalan Bisma, one of them is Umah Pizza which you should definitely try, their Mie Goreng or Balinese fried noodles topped with a fried egg is awesome, we ate there almost every meal. The breakfast offered was adequate and Willy the groundskeeper is sincere and diligent, always going out of his way to make our stay as fuss-free as possible. Overall Villa Jumah far exceeded our expectations and for the price, it was definitely value for money. Great location though it requires a bit of a walk, the path is bordered with small patches of rice paddy fields, we enjoyed many nice relaxing walks on Jalan Bisma. If the walking bothers you, Willy will be glad to arrange for scooters or alternative transportation for you. We loved our stay however 2 nights was too short, we will definitely be back to Ubud and when we do, Villa Jumah will be our choice accommodation.

“Peaceful and relaxing stay!” We (my husband and 2 boys aged 5 and 3) stayed at Swallow Guesthouse for a week in Feb 2013, and really enjoyed the views of the rice fields, farmer planting rice, ploughing the fields, and farmers chasing the ducks, and lots more sights of a rural life - cows mooing, roosters crowing (sometimes throughout the day, sometimes in the nights!!!), frogs singing. There is so much "music" at night that I could not really sleep well first night, but its something I missed when back home. We had Wayan drive us around, and my sons adore him! We had Putri cook a delicious meal. The house is awesome, lots of room to run around, a pond terrace with lotus. Do note, must bring super power torch lights, if you come back late from a tour, its pitch dark, with the moon as the main light, you need it to walk the 400 steps path to reach the house. Its just sad that a week stay is short but we alternate between going out and just relaxing at home, cooking simple meals in the kitchen, because you mustn't miss having your meals in the "bale" above the kitchen, a view to take in, 360 degrees of green!
