“Peaceful location and an good base to explore south West France” The host and hostess are a charming couple who are very friendly and welcoming.
The Pigeonnier is modern and clean, whilst retaining the rustic charm of its origins. The kitchen is well equipped with all of the home comforts.
The hostess is an excellent cook with a wide repertoire. It is a very enjoyable option you if do not want to cook some of the time.
A car is must as you are slightly off the beaten track, but makes a good base for exploring the local area and the Pyrenees. The location has lots of local shops, restaurants and attractions only a short drive away in the nearby market towns.
The internal staircase might be a challenge if you are a bit wobbly on your pins, as they are short, but steep.
It is very tranquil and relaxing place, with no traffic noise. The starlit skies in the evening are glorious.
We spent a lovely holiday in July 2012 and would we would highly recommend it.
