Welcome to an area of outstanding charm and natural beauty at the heart of the valley of the river Mayenne. This typically mayennaise English farmhouse has been tastefully restored by your hosts, Franck and Leila, some 20 years ago but was fully redecorated in the winter of 2014.

We hope to welcome you as a friend in our own home.

Location: Between Laval (19 km) and Chateau Gontier (13 km) the hamlet of Villiers Charlemagne lies 50 km from Angers, 65 km from Le Mans, 78 km from Rennes and 245 km from Paris.

During the summer you can enjoy our private lake of 11 ha (not the pond you can see in the picture!) to swim and you can have fun canoeing on the Mayenne river!

We are located in a rural area that offers access to many activities such horse riding, cycling and hiking in open countryside.

There is a high roping park at Force Leisure Park only 15 minutes drive away and within 10 minutes you can skydive at Entrames.

For those who appreciate gardens and history there are medieval festivals starting with the Easter market in Sainte Suzanne (35 minutes). In July which miss the famous knights tournament and other medieval exhibitions in this town considered one of the 'most beautiful villages in France' and also as a 'city of character', Similarly there are festivals in Saint Denis d'Anjou in May and inDaon during August.

Apart from all that, it is a pleasure simply to stroll around looking at the buildings, enjoying the views across the countryside of the Mayenne, soaking up the atmosphere, and of course stopping in a cafe or restaurant.
