The essence of this village house is relaxation combined with easy accessibility to the true french countryside. There are plenty of family days out or venture further for winery trips, just take in South West France as you wish.

Our guests love the village for its authentic atmosphere and proximity to good supermarkets, shops and some great local restaurants. Of course chateaux, riverside, fishing and swimming lakes are all close too.. wake to a morning coffee with a fresh croissant at just a stroll from the house.

The house has a relaxed interior in keeping with the charente stone cottage style, you will find all the necessary amenities to enjoy in house dining. The kids will be happy in the pool whilst you take in the hammock.. or hire a bike and truly discover the local countryside with its beautiful sunflower fields.. truly France as it should be.

Day trip options are endless with the monkey sanctuary, Cognac, Bordeaux.. the choice is yours. Don't forget to discover the beautiful villages of the Charente, Nanteuil en Vallee, Verteuil.. all just a short drive away.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Rose (the owner) a message.

If Rose (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
