La Petite Maison a Vergt is a romantic converted barn set in the heart of the Dordogne coutryside, with beautiful views and retaining many original features.The property is set in its own private garden, in the grounds of the main farmhouse. There is a well equipped kitchen with five ring hob, oven, fridge, coffee machine, toaster and washing machine.The sitting area is double height with large comfy sofa, television, dvd player, dining table and chairs and leads to a charming mezzanine bedroom with very comfortable double bed. Linen is provided as are towels for use in the shower room. We do however ask you to provide your own swimming pool towels.Guests have full use of our large swimming pool and sun terrace with sun beds provided. There is a barbeque in the garden of la Petite Maison for guests use along with table, chairs and relaxers. Bicycles are available for the more sporting among you.

The property is about 2-3 Kms from the local village of Vergt with its shops and bars/restaurants. There are several bakers here along with a patisserie and an excellent butchers. There is also a large Supermaket a short drive from the property. On Friday morning there is a lively market in Vergt and from June to September a farmers market on Sunday morning

A short walk from the property there is a lake with a bar/restaurant open during the season. Often on Saturday evenings a concert is held at the restaurant . A good evening well recommended. There are many restaurants and Auberges dotted about the countryside, some of which are superb. We can help you with recommendations and bookings.

We are situated about equidistant from the historic and beautiful cities of Bergerac and Perigueux, about 25 minutes drive with their many shops restaurants and bars and festivals during the season. Within easy reach are the many vineyards of Bergerac and Bordeaux

and the caves and historic sites of the area.

We are easily reached by air from Bergerac Airport 20 mins, and Bordeaux Airport about 1and a half hours and by road via the A20/A89.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

If Babs (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
