Nestled amongst historical townhouses in a charming backwater of Varenna, this beautiful 2 bed duplex provides the perfect base for reaching the sites and soaking up carefree moments on the central lake!

Inside the second floor apartment offers the perfect retreat for year-round stays, with an interior oozing classic home comfort and a contemporary twist. The pale terracotta tiled floor to the lower floor contrasts with the inviting white walls and fresh stylish furnishings, for a laid back and effortless ambience ideal for memorable getaways.

All the comforts of home are provided here within the welcoming appeal of the open plan living area. Cosy sofas are accompanied by a large SAT TV and WIFI access, whilst a spacious kitchen diner for 4 adds an informal touch to holiday dining.

The stylish kitchen is fully-equipped for carefree cooking, with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge provided. The double aspect views and the spacious, blissful ambience makes the room ideal for entertaining and for relaxing in throughout the year; with plenty of natural light to flood the room and a Juliette balcony inviting a fresh summertime breeze in.

From this romantic setting, a wooden staircase leads to the upper floor of the duplex. The interior here is as equally stylish and welcoming, with romantic sloping ceilings providing an added touch of serenity perfect for enjoying a good night’s rest. The two bedrooms here are thoughtfully furnished with an added touch of flexibility, to comprise 1 double bedroom and 1 twin furnished with two single beds.

The restful master double features a large skylight and picture eave window overlooking the charming townhouses in the piazza. The romantic interior continues to delight, with a French-style wrought iron double bed, a wardrobe, wicker hamper and electric fan. The second guest bedroom is equally inviting and features a large skylight and picture eave window alongside a twin set of French-style single beds and plenty of wardrobe space.

The modern and beautifully finished bathroom to this floor also offers a serene setting in which to relax and revive the senses, with a contemporary power shower to hand and plenty of natural light flooding in from the large skylight. A washing machine also conveniently feature.

From the gorgeous and timeless apartment, public parking space is conveniently within reach from the townhouse residence. The surroundings of Piazza al Prato simply ooze ‘La Dolce Vita’, with an ancient church, colourful townhouses and trees providing welcome shade along the inviting cobbled streets.

The picturesque historical quarter of Varenna leads past authentic restaurants, cafes, wine bars and shops to the botanical gardens of Villa Monastero and the timeless vistas and cafe-lined walkway of the waterfront. Past bobbing boats and flowering wisteria, the lakeside path known as ‘La Passarella’ leads to the elegant Victorian-era promenade. Here a lovely lakeside Lido promises a delightful day of relaxation, whilst a picturesque hillside trail leads to the medieval ‘Castello di Vezio’ attraction. A car and passenger ferry service offers easy access to Bellagio, Cadenabbia and Menaggio, whilst a train station from Varenna also offers a frequent Lecco-Milan service.

A stay on the eastern shore offers one of year-round amusement, with Lidos and the Lierna public beach to enjoy alongside water sports, boat rental, tree top climbing at the Jungle Raider Park and easy access to the Ski resorts of Piani di Bobbio and Madesimo.
