How would you like to enjoy a beautiful tropical island, all to yourself?
Kakula Breeze: A place so beautiful you will not want to leave, at a price so affordable you will come again. Kakula Island is ringed by coral reefs and some of Vanuatu's largest expanses of sea grass beds. Guests will have full access to our beaches dotted with shady sitting areas and our supply of sports equipment (including snorkels, kayaks, and paddle boards) to explore the crystal clear waters.
Kakula Island is 36 hectares (89 acres), biologically diverse and teeming with cultural and historical significance. A variety of fruit trees line our trails and coconut crabs indigenous to our island scurry about. We have a secret sea turtle sanctuary where turtles lay their eggs. There are old ruins left behind by missionaries, NiVanu spiritual sites and other cultural landmarks, as well as a ruin on the beach and an abandoned 3 story tree house we are repairing. A short boat ride away is a wrecked American Corsair fighter jet from World War II, which can be explored by scuba or snorkel.
Our private island home has 5 comfortable ensuite bedrooms. We have a large dining area right at the beach for you to enjoy your meals and an indoor living/dining lounge if you want to stay out of the sun. We have a staff of 7 to take care of you and keep everything clean and neat.
Want to go fishing, snorkeling, diving, or paddle board/kayak around the island? Tell us and we will make all the arrangements. Want to visit local villages and learn about Vanuatu culture? We can take you to our neighboring islands, Nguna and Pele where you can meet the village chiefs and enjoy a lunch prepared for you by the villagers using only food they grow in their villages and fish from the ocean.
Stroll along our beach and enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets in the South Pacific with a glass of chilled champagne. Leave your concrete jungle and join us in our tropical jungle!
We believe Kakula is best enjoyed as a private island retreat for just you and your family and friends. But if you would like to rent just one or two bedrooms, we can accommodate your request and provide a different rental rate. Please contact us for any special requests.
We are also a perfect venue for wedding celebrations and other events since Kakula is just so photogenic! We can introduce you to a wonderful wedding planner on the ground here in Vanuatu. Or spoil yourself and your partner: come to Kakula for your getaway honeymoon. You'll get the privacy you need in the gorgeous setting you want with 7 staff on hand to make it perfect!

- How do damage deposits work?
In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Amy (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
