Properties on Holiday Lettings can be sorted/ranked in the following ways:
Orders properties using various data points, in particular: ratings, number of bedrooms/bathrooms, minimum number of nights, and data relating to the interest in/bookings of the property through us, including the advertiser’s rate of providing quotes to travellers who make enquiries. Other factors include price, property capacity, number of photographs, location, amenities, appearance in search results, page views, and the advertiser’s responsiveness and cancellation rate.
Price low to high / high to low
Orders properties based on either (i) the property’s minimum nightly price, if the traveller has searched without dates, or (ii) the average nightly price for the applicable week of the year, if the traveller has input dates.
Orders properties by total number of reviews attached to the listing (highest to lowest), irrespective of average score. Where there is a listing with the same number of reviews as another (or a listing with no reviews), properties are sorted according to their proximity to the searched location.
“Paradise” We have been twice to Sand dollar, Vanuatu and can highly recommend it as a fantastic location for a relaxing self catered holiday. The whares are amazing with big beds and high quality bedding. The kitchen/ living whare has everything you need to cook and entertain.
Straight off the premises you can kayak or snorkel in the clear topical water watching the dolphins or swimming amongst the coral. Both kayaks and snorkel gear are there for use.
The swimming pools are a great way to relax and freshen off at the end of the day.
With a hired car you are close enough to Port Vila to pop in for a restaurant or shopping and Sand Dollar is a great base to see the rest of the island.
The local family who are on site should you need anything are friendly and hospitable without being intrusive.
We love it and will be going back again.
“Brilliant!” Stayed at this fantastic upmarket holiday bach in Feb. The architecture is fantastic & is equally complimented by the great location.
Even with a group of 6 & it still felt at times like there nobody was around. Easy enough to find a place & hide away from the kids, only if you need to!
The snorkeling off the private beach was brilliant, never have I seen so many Clown fish before in such a small area. There is also a nice deep swimming hole within the volcanic rock that is sheltered from the breaking waves if you tire of the pool.
Watching the sunsets from the sunken seating "pit" were highlight of the day, even better with storm clouds brewing! A great place to enjoy your meal if you're self catering.
You're only a pleasant 15 min drive from Port Vila with the dense forest on 1 side & smiley faces of the locals on the other. Remembering to drive on the "wrong" side of the road only added to that holiday feeling.
Don't forget to try the curry house 4-5 mins up the road, is well worth it & keep an eye open for the resident Moray eel in the swimming hole!
Glen was a great host with all needs catered for & the "revolving pantry" is a fantastic idea. We were even "stuck" in Vanuatu for another 3 days after plane issues & he took this in his stride & made us feel like nothing was a problem.
If you're after a relaxing holiday to sit beside the pool & read a book, or you're a after a place to chill-out after a busy day trying on what Port Vila has on offer, this is the only place to stay!
