Description

Lovely Rosebud Cottage in Steyning is stylish but traditional. Beautifully converted and in the midst of a conservation area, it offers wonderfully light and bright accommodation with 2 bedrooms, a well equipped separate kitchen and a wonderful garden with seating.

Use the free WiFi for a working break or chill out with board games, novels, DVDs, radio & TV. Relax in the comfortable & cosy sitting room or prepare tasty dishes in the kitchen next door.

Enjoy the calm, soothing main bedroom with beautiful hand painted cabinets and a Victorian fireplace and admire the view beyond the garden from the second bedroom.

Use the cottage books and leaflets for inspiration about places to visit, along with local maps.

The cottage is a lovely romantic getaway for couples! It's also popular with single friends and small families ...

The stairs are quite steep which is typical in a midd 1800's property. Small children will also need to be supervised

The stairs are quite steep which is typical in a midd 1800's property. Small children will also need to be supervised outside as there is a steep bank leading down to the stream the far side of the garden fence.

The bathroom - with a shower, toilet & wash basin - is downstairs (so may not be suitable for anyone with mobility problems).

There is unrestricted parking in the street outside the cottage. You can also leave your car in the car park of a quiet pub which is very close by.

Towels and bed linen provided.

Flexible start days. Short breaks throughout the year. Arrival time from 4 pm. Departure from 10 a.m.

3 day breaks are possible at 75% of the weekly rate & 4 day breaks at 80%.- just send a message .....

Location description from owner

The England region

Sussex is a beautiful county in the South East of England with a long coastline and a lovely ridge of hills - the South Downs National Park. Although there is access to London by train ( in an hour and a quarter from Shoreham by Sea) you can also enjoy the Sussex countryside with its peaceful traditional villages. Temperatures in the South East above average for England - the usual maximum temperatures in the summer is around 21 degrees (70 Fahrenheit)

Steyning

Steyning is a picturesque small town at the foot of the South Downs National Park.It is off the tourist trail, yet waiting to be discovered, with a fascinating museum - open throughout the year - Norman church and many buildings of historic and architectural interest. There are some great tea shops, pubs and restaurants - all within walking distance from the cottage. Steyning is an ideal location for walkers - just a mile and half from the South Downs Way. Chanctonbury Ring, a well known local landmark with stunning downland views, is just 3 miles away. There are many possible walks at different levels of difficulty. For a complete contrast head to Brighton - a vibrant city - just a half an hour drive. Visit the spectacular Brighton Pavilion, take a walk on the the pier and make sure you wander through the quaint South Lanes. If you just want a day at the seaside it is a 15 minute drive to Shoreham Beach on the Sussex coast. Alternatively there is an hourly bus service from Steyning.©
