From the owner

Located in the sunniest and southern most part of France, in the friendly village of Sorede which is only twenty minutes from the Spanish border in the foothills of the Pyrenees, this comfortable family home allows you to enjoy two countries and cultures at the same time.

This increasingly popular Catalan region, with it's rich culture and passion for food, wine and rugby is renowned as the sunniest place in France, with the village of Sorede known as 'The Jewel of the Alberes'.

Only 7 kilometres from the beach, with a choice of village shops, bars and restaurants, you can enjoy everything village life, the mountains and the beaches have to offer. This is ideal walking and cycling country, with year round sunshine, and typical Mediterranean night-life for teenagers just 15 minutes away on the coast.

The house is fully air-conditioned, and has been recently furnished as a fresh, comfortable family holiday retreat, sleeping six adults plus child up to 10 years, with three bedrooms, one double, one twin and one triple room (two single plus french style day bed for child), TV/lounge area seating eight people with French cable television, DVD player and apple tv for guests access to their own Netflix and iTunes accounts, 2 bathrooms, fitted kitchen and an adjoining seating/dining sun room.

Outside, there is a covered terrace for entertaining and dining for 10/12 people, BBQ and a large private pool (8m x 4m), with sun decks, parasol and loungers, all in a safe enclosed garden.

By arrangement, a local English speaking cook and housekeeper will cater for your family, shopping, preparing meals for your return at the end of the day, with additional cleaning if required, personal laundry and babysitting.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Simon Fraser (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
