Very well equipped - home from home.

2 double bedrooms/2 bathrooms. Large sitting room/diner.

Ground floor, level access.

3 Bar/Restaurants and small shop nearby. Walk to town.

Sleeps 6 + baby. (cot and high chair available on request)

1 x West facing balcony, sea/beach views plus

1 x South/South East Terrace with inland and pool views = sun or shade all day long.

Lovely view of the beach and sea from the sitting room balcony terrace. Mornings - enjoy full sun on the side terrace and shade in the afternoon. Afternoons - enjoy full sun and glorious sunsets. Perfect for both sun and shade lovers!

Small supermarket and restaurant/bar called Etcetera in next door complex (for lovely fresh bread each morning), or go to the bakery, just up the road.

Situated on the ground floor, the apt is kept private and not overlooked by passers by, or bar users as it is screened partly by Elcibar, the pool bar/restaurant. Also any noise (which is rare) is directed away from the apartment.

Wheelchair friendly Apt:

Ramps to apt and pool area. Bath lift, grab rails and bed risers on request. Portable ramps for electric wheelchair for easy taxi transport for tours and/or airport transfer. Roads/tracks are cobbled and bumpy - not good for manual wheeling!! Plus most restaurants and shops have steps.

Widescreen Satellite TV and CD/DVD player.

Good Selection of DVDs and CDs.

Bluetooth speaker.




Fully equipped kitchen

Seperate drinking water filter tap (no carrying heavy water bottles), toaster, iron and board, blender, toasted sandwich maker, microwave, gas hob/elec oven, washing machine, airer, juicer, fridge/freezer, iron and board and a good selection of cooking pans, casserols and utensils, cutlery, glass and china.

Ceiling fans and floor fan plus small personal fan and air cooler.

Large wardrobe space.

BBQ (25 euros refundable deposit on arrival for if cleaning reqd after use).

Safe for valuables, passports etc.

Window/door/bed mosquito nets and blinds, plus electronic plug-in zappers. (Usually only required July-October, but a few around from time to time). Best to take your own creams etc if affected.

Fully equipped gym in the next door complex, that can be used for a daily charge plus a free area on the beach opposite Vila Cabral 1 (next door) with exercise equipment.

For self caterers - local bakery, fishmarket, butcher, fruit and veg market, supermarkets and lots of small artisan shops a short walk away in town.

As a self catering apt. there's a washing m/c, drying line, iron. Clean linen and towels and/or apt clean by arrangement with managers (small charge).

Many good restaurants at reasonable prices within easy walking distance after a busy day sightseeing; or take a local taxi further afield to the many beach bars, some with music.

Bart and Els invite you to nearby Elcibar pool bar/restaurant which serves excellent freshly cooked breakfasts, lunches, dinner, snacks and drinks all day/eve (closed Mondays). Some Chinese dishes on the menu. Take-Away Service. Small well stocked supermarket (lovely fresh bread each morning) plus reasonably priced bar/restaurant in basement of next door complex (VC1)..

Meet & greet from airport by arrangement, 20euros. 10 - 15 mins trip. Manager welcomes guests with apt keys + all necessary information for your stay.

24 hour security. Parking right outside.

Daily/weekly hire available for beach buggies, cars, scooters and bicycles. Island tours, boat trips/deep sea fishing by arrangement. Kite surfing/wind surfing, scuba diving, snorkelling etc., hire and schools nearby for beginners and/or experienced users.

Holiday suitable for all age groups, whether looking for a peaceful break or an activity holiday in an emerging, unspoilt location with almost guaranteed sunshine and warmth all year round. All amenities nearby or within walking distance. 15 min walk to town and port. English/Portuguese speaking Apt managers available close by, for local info and queries.

Local currency is the Cape Verdean Escudo. Most places also accept Euros, but will give you change in Escudos. 1000 Escudos is about £8.00, or €9.00. Several ATMs in town to draw Escudos (sometimes run out of money on a Friday - payday). Shops/restaurants generally do not accept credit/debit cards. Best to take euros and change them to Escudos in the banks for a better rate of exchange.

Small charge for laundry/cleaning service if requd - there is a washing machine and drying rack. Please ask on arrival. All linen/towels supplied (not beach towels).

Merci pour votre avis, et je suis heureux vous avez aimé - je m'excuse pour les chiens d'aboyer. Ce problème a maintenant été résolu. En ce qui concerne la télévision, (comme je l'ai dit), le satellite locaux ne sont pas très bon n'importe où ici et il y a un plat de sattellite en cours d'installation pour nous aujourd'hui. Heureusement, dans le passé, la plupart des personnes préfèrent d'autres loisirs que de regarder la télévision. La prochaine fois, tout sera parfait ! !

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Geraldine (the owner) a message.

If Geraldine (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
