Very many thanks for a lovely review. So happy you enjoyed it. Sorry about the wifi, but there is a working 'dongle' available in the apartment, for just 20 euros refundable deposit - you only had to ask my 'managers' - never mind, next time eh?...hope to see you again soon (or even in Sal perhaps!)

We kinda like it too..... Yes, Estoril beach is the most sheltered on the Island so it is usually safe for swimming - however, be aware that the prevailing winds blow offshore. The butcher, baker, main supermarket and fish market can take some "hunting out", so do not be afraid to ask - we can help, but take a Portuguese phrase book and consider taking a taxi the first time to save walking around in the heat. Some of the supermarkets - and especially the bakery - do not look like shops from the outside.
