During ancient times Famagusta was a fishing village which developed into a small port and after turned into one of the world's best known tourist and entertainment centre. Once a very busy port but now due to the closure of Famagusta under the Turkish is now not a tourist area.
Other parts of the district such as Protaras and Ayia Napa are just some of the few stunning spots for those who love the sea as well as water sports. Nearby coastline of Protaras is known to have the best beaches on the whole island with it's blue flag areas. The chapel of Prophet Elias situated on a mountain hilltop, has been awarded with amazing views of the Protaras coastline.
Some of the places tourists visit in the charming scenery is Ayia Napa's fishing harbour ,the medieval monastery, small churches and windmills that spreads out into the areas of Protaras and Paralimni. Ayia Napa boasts the biggest themed water park in Europe with exhilarating rides providing fun and entertainment for all age groups. Now a very popular lively place with a vibrant night life of night clubs, bars and restaurants.
Cape Greko is a protected nature reserve on the South-East corner of Cyprus. It's a home to many animals and plants.
Nearby Konnos bay is one of the most beautiful spots on this region a must to visit during your stay.
The quaint village town of Paralimni is only 5mins drive which is more of a traditional local area, but caters for all your needs with 2 large main supermarkets. This region is known as red-soil village which is a major potato producing areas on the island.
Just a short drive to Troodos Mountain is also a place for a visit, passing through small local Cypriot villages populated by friendly & welcoming locals.

"SUPERB VILLA OFFERING A SPLENDID LOCATION"
arrived to the beautiful villa and had a lovely welcome pack and very impressed with all furnishings and quality the villa offered. The location of the villa provided a quiet feel and the private gardens with a lovely pool provide a very relaxing feeling. Only 10-15 minutes walk to the main Protaras strip and Fig Tree Bay. Had many dealings with the Owner (Mr Chavda) prior to the Holiday and everything was dealt with professionally and quickly and he even arranged the transfers to and from the Villa.!! I would certainly recommend this property and am now looking at dates for a second holiday! All in all everything experienced with the whole holiday booking, villa and transfers was exceptional
Thank you for your wonderful review, I'm very happy that you and your family had a Fantastic time at the Villa. You are most welcomed again.

"Fantastic Villa in a great location"
Arrived at the villa around six key readily available so no stops welcome pack was good saw us through until we had chance to go to supermarket. Location was great very private and quiet all facilities were well maintained, the private pool was great to have. It was a fifteen minute walk into the main strip of protaras which was no problem, we always got taxi back which between the six of us was very reasonable. Hired a car this time round which was delivered to the villa found driving in Cyprus very easy giving us the opertunity to see a lot more of the island, Troodos mountains were fantastic well recommended although a good two hour drive. I would have no hesitation reccommending this villa to family and friends, Mr Chavda was very helpful even organising our airport transfers all correspondence with him was dealt with promptly. are we going again? Try and keep us away. See you next year and thanks for a great holiday.

Myself, my husband 2 young children and mother had the pleasure of staying at Villa Artemis in August 2012. From start to finish our stay was pleasurable. We arrived to a lovely welcome hamper which pleased 2 hungry children! The villa was very clean and just as described, lovely spacious outside area, the children both enjoyed hours of fun in the pool. The villa is just a short work to the main strip with lots of restaurant's and bars to choose from. We found the agents and cleaners very helpful and friendly. I would recommend Villa Artemis.

"Excellent Holiday Villa"
The villa is in an excellent location close to Protaras main centre and the beach. The villa itself was home from home! It was modern, very clean and had everything you could want to enjoy a great holiday. The outside pool area was fantastic! the pool is large enough to enjoy adult swimming and also playing with the children. Their are enough sun loungers for everyone to enjoy the "All day sun" and plenty outside dining seats/table to go round. I would definitley recommend this villa and will be returning again soon!

All the facilities that you needed were provided and everything you wanted was close by as the the 'Main Strip' in Protaras was a mere 10 minute walk away. There was 2 small supermarkets that were only 5 minutes away where you could buy everything you needed (food). As you arrived there was a welcome hamper with all the necessities you needed for breakfast. Overall the Villa was a great place to stay with friends or family.
