Antrim Coast Getaway is a Northern Ireland tourist board approved holiday home. It is a modern and stylish five bedroom townhouse available for summer lets. It is an ideal place to explore the famous Causeway Coast of Northern Ireland.

The house is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac overlooking a green area which is ideal for young children to play in. It is around fifteen minutes walk away from prime tourist locations such as Portstewart promenade, Strand beach, Portstewart Golf Course, Shops and Restaurants.

A short drive will take you to Portrush where you will find many other fun activities such as many local surf schools, daily boat trips and Barrys Indoor Amusements. If you carry on following the picturesque coastal route you will soon reach Bushmills, The Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and many filming locations that have been used in the world famous television series Game of Thrones. If you choose to drive in the other direction you are not a long drive from places such as Londonderry (City of Culture) and County Donegal.

Accommodation comprises of entrance hall, kitchen, rear garden (access via patio doors and an integral garage on the ground floor. First floor accommodation includes a spacious lounge, family bathroom and two double bedrooms. Finally, the second floor accommodation comprises of two king size bedrooms (one with ensuite), one single bedroom and one toilet. Duvets, pillows and mattress protectors are included. Also included is bed linen but towels are not provided.

Electricity, central heating and super fast BT fibre-optic broadband are all included in the weekly rental price.

Parking is available at the front of the property.

Pets are welcome but are not permitted in the bedrooms.

Facilities include: Dishwasher, Microwave, Washing Machine, Fridge Freezer, TV and DVD, Garden to rear. Garden furniture.

Seasonal Opening: Mid June to the start of September.

Regarding some of the comments made I would like to respond to them as follows. 1. I am sorry that you found some of the furniture within the property to be unsuitable for your stay. I am aware that a few of the wardrobes and drawers have a few minor issues and this is something that I am looking into fixing as soon as possible. 2. All essential amenities such as kitchen roll, toilet roll, hand soap, kitchen and bathroom chemicals are not provided for the duration of your stay, but as a check-in courtesy as this is a self-catering property as specified in the property description. 3. I am sorry if you discovered a bad smell in one of the showers upon your arrival, however, the cleaners who clean the properties before every guests stay always do a thorough job and had not reported any bad smell to me; nor had the previous guest. Nonetheless, I am sorry that you had to resolve this issue in your own time. 4. [ The same response as above] 5. As stated above, I have used the same cleaning team for years and have had no previous complaints about the cleanliness of the properties. All flooring is moped, vacuumed, and steam cleaned between stays. But I am sorry if you felt the cleanliness of the property was not up to your expectations. I have a professional photographer who takes the promotional photographs for my properties and I always make sure that the holiday homes are always at their best for these photo shoots as well as for the stay of every guest. So I don’t personally believe that the photos are misleading but I appreciate your feedback. I am sorry to hear that I have lost your custom but I appreciate the feedback you have left and I wish you all the best in your future travels.

Dear Caroline, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with some feedback as we are always looking to improve our guest’s experience in our holiday homes. I would like to respond to your comments as follows: 1. As specified in the property description this is a self-catering property where all bed linens are provided but you must bring your own towels. 2. I am sorry if you did not have a good night’s sleep and felt the property was too noisy, however, all carpets on the stairs are thoroughly cleaned before each guest’s stay by the same cleaning team that I have used for years, as I have always found them to have done a good job. 3. I am sorry if the tv did not meet your expectations, however, the type of tv that the property has can clearly be seen in the property listing photographs and with the upgrade of the additional digibox, the tv is fully suitable for viewing purposes. 4. I am sorry if you had issues with the toilet roll holders or any other small fixtures within the property. I will have my maintenance staff look into this matter as soon as possible and I appreciate you bringing it to my attention. 5. I always make sure that my gardens are well maintained and kept tidy. I am sorry if it was not what you expected, however, I can assure you that any nettles or potentially threatening vegetation would not have been left on my property for any guests arrival. If there were any nettles verging on the lawn they could only have been creeping under the fence from a neighbouring garden or else tucked in behind the neighbour’s oil tank where children and pets should be supervised not to go. I appreciate your suggested addition of a gate, however, this is not feasible as the tunnel between the houses is a shared space. 6. For every guest’s stay the house is equipped with a suitable amount of utensils, glassware and crockery, based upon the maximum occupancy of the property itself, with a few extra of each. I will consider wine glasses as a potential addition for the future, however, for the most part this is a self-catering property and it does not claim to be otherwise and wine glasses are a luxury and not a necessity by my standards. 7. Similarly to what I have stated above, these sort of luxury gratuities are worthy potential additions to my property, however, these are not stated nor promised within the booking description and would be more akin to B&Bs and Hotels in the North Coast area, not independently owned properties. 8.I am sorry the airer did not meet your requirements, however, no previous guests have found it to be unsuitable. Nonetheless, I will consider this as a potential future investment. 9. I am sorry if you struggled with operating the heating system within the house as this has never been brought to my attention as a difficulty with previous guests and I will look into this matter for the future. 10. I appreciate that a few of the drawers in the wardrobes are in need of maintenance and this is something I am looking into. 11. I am glad you got good use out of the garden furniture and I was glad to be of service during the duration of your two week stay. 12. I am aware that one of the kitchen drawers is starting to show its age and as a result of this I am currently contemplating some replacement work of certain surfaces within the kitchen, however, I am sorry if this impacted the overall quality of your stay. In conclusion, I am sorry that you found yourself disappointed with your stay and rather underwhelmed with the property itself. Although some of the suggested adjustments would be worthy upgrades for the holiday home many of them I would consider to be luxuries and were not promised or guaranteed before your booking. Despite living far away from the holiday home itself, I did my very best to try to make your stay as comfortable as possible and to meet your expectations such as providing you with garden furniture and allowing you to bring your dog. With that put aside, I am sorry to receive the negative connotations of this review and I hope that with a few adjustments I can expect to host you again in the future. Thank you for the feedback and all the very best in your future travels.

How do damage deposits work?
