Peschici

Being protected by the Holy St Elia, the village has its major religious spectacle in the period between 17th and 22nd July, but you will find both this village and the surrounding villages in celebrating both their own and any catholic or worldly celebrity at any occasion throughout the year. In fact you would find it hard not to find any spectacle of cultural, populistic og religious carachter going on in the summer season in this region.

This area is reknowned for its numerous religios and cultural festivals, you wouldn't find a week in the summer season withour anything going on in Peschici or close by. Check www.agitur.it/contatore/gb/index_ing.html and www.garganotouring.it/evento%20home%20page/Festival/Festival%20Gargano.htm

“Lovely flat in 'centro storico'”

Reviewed 5 Jun 2013

If you want a 'town centre' flat in this pleasant sea-side town then this is for you. The old town is a maze of narrow white streets tumbling down the hill to the beach and port. The flat is very near the top and so you're close to the shops and restaurants. You can sit in a cafe and watch the 'passagiata' in the evenings, where the locals promenade up and down the main street and chat and are very friendly. The flat is well equipped and has some sea views and a large roof-top terrace. Ideal for two but sleeps 4 easily. We liked Peschici and loved the flat. We are very grateful to Anita and Jan, the owners, who happened to be in town.. Thanks for your hospitality!

“Late summer in Peschici”

Reviewed 29 Oct 2012

The house is a mix of new and old with personal touches and original artworks everywhere. A bright, cheerful atmosphere and flooded with light. The facilities compare very well with other rentals and we found everything we needed there. The location just inside the walls of the old town provides both quiet privacy and convenience. Parking was not a problem at this time of the year. There are too many local restaurants to count, and plenty of food shops and markets. A friendly town, very attractive and surrounded by striking countryside and beaches. We enjoyed it enough to want to extend our stay there by a few days and the owner was extremely accomodating.

“Sunny apartment wih great views”

Reviewed 2 Oct 2011

A beautifully renovated and quiet apartment in the old part of town. My teenage girls studied for their exams while I explored the town and cooked sumptous meals in a well-equipped kitchen. Beautiful sea views from the balcony and terrace and a lovely place to watch the swifts fly.
