Your base for exploring NZ's beautiful Bay of Islands.

Less than 10 mins drive to Paihia, 2 mins to the Russell car ferry and 25 mins to Kerikeri, 10 mins to Kawakawa & only a short stroll to the cycleway and coastal path.

All within 20 minutes easy walking distance are Opua Marina & Boatyard, Opua General Store & Opua Cruising Club (a great Bar & Bistro).

Our Apartment is spacious, clean & comfortable, with large rooms, suitable for individuals, couples, small families or groups of friends.

Our apartment is private (we live in the house above and can help you with anything but we are happy to let you get on with your holiday) spacious, warm, clean, tidy and comfortable. After a tough day out on the water dolphin watching or touring around our gorgeous part of Northland, come home to a comfortable well equipped apartment that has everything you'll need to relax and enjoy your time in Opua There is one bedroom configured with either twin beds or one king size. There is a single bed in the rear of the large lounge. We also have a double air bed and a single if needed for extra guests/children etc. (extra charges will apply). There is free wifi and freeview tv provided as well as jigsaws, books and board games. The full kitchen/diner has all the equipment you'll need to cater for yourselves. There are restaurants in Paihia and the nearby Opua Cruising Club has a welcoming bar and bistro. Guest Membership at no extra charge can be arranged at the Opua Cruising Club for the duration of your stay if required.

There is a CCTV security camera installed outside which monitors the driveway and parking spaces in front of the house. It cannot see inside the property or any private spaces.

Why can't I call Kerry (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Kerry (the owner) a message.

If Kerry (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
