“great apartment in the heart of Old Town Nice, yet quiet location”
Great apartment with all necessary equipment and facilities. Clean and modern. The location is perfect to explore Nice especially those who enjoy restaurants and shopping in the Old Town. Only 10minutes walk from the beach and 20minutes walk to the train station to explore other areas. Monoprix close by to purchase food & refereshments. The park opposite is perfect to sit and relax. The apartment is quiet, which is rare in the Old Town...a little gem. As the apartment is on the 3rd floor with over 65 steps the apartment would not be suitable for those with walking difficulties. However, for everyone else the exercise is good allowing you to consume more of Nice's tasty delights. Patrick the owner is very friendly and helpful. He meets you on arrival and explains everything perfectly. Thank you to Patrick for a lovely stay.
Hi Caroline It's a good sum up of the City + apartment. Yes you're right. As there is no elevator, the apartment isn't for people with walking difficulties. But for all the others. They will enjoy the exercise to go only to the 3rd floor ...... And there they will love to be in a quiet place even if they are in the middle of the old town. It's a gem, you're right. It's the reason why this apartment was renovated and offer now all facilities. Thank you Caroline for your kindness and I hope to receive you next year for another sunny GP of Monaco. All the best for you and your family. Patrick
“Excellent Apartment in perfect location convenient to everything.”
Patrick was extremely helpful and the apartment was exactly as described. He met me at the arranged time and the apartment was very clean and presentable. He took the time to explain how everything worked and to show me maps of all the local amenities. Perfect location, clean and modern apartment which looks very recently refurbished and great value. Highly recommended and very enjoyable stay. I cannot think of anything to criticise at all! Very convenient to old town, a tram stop is literally outside, great restaurants (which Patrick very kindly also provided a map to) and the Museum of Modern Art is a few steps away, as is the beach. If you are travelling further on the Cote D'Azur, the bus stops are nearby and the SNCF train station is a 15 minute walk along Avenue Jean Medecin. The beach is also a short walk and the port, you really do not need to rent a car as everything is very close by. Nothing more to say really, a perfect experience in every way and shall definitely plan to stay here in future.
Hi F.A. I'm very happy you had good holidays in Nice and I will be very pleased to receive you again. I always try to give up to date tips. In doing so my renters don't waste time to find good restaurants at any price depending of the amount they want to pay. Hope to see you coming back in the close future. All the best to you. Patrick
“We had a great stay.”
We really enjoyed staying in this apartment. The bus to the airport was quick and easy. Patrick the landlord was great. He met us at the flat when we arrived and gave us ideas for things to do and was very helpful. My mother age 69 had no problem with the stairs. The apartment was very quiet and satisfied all our needs. I loved walking around in “La vieux Nice” (The old town) even though it was raining most of the time, I didn’t’ mind at all. I highly recommend this. We had a great stay. Thanks a lot Patrick : )
Hi Steinar Good to know you enjoyed your stay in the apartment even if you weren't lucky with the weather. England and France ( South of France and Nice too ) were under water for a while ..... So we had a nasty rainy period in January which is exceptionnal as Nice is well known for his wonderfull sunny weather all over the year even in winter. I promise. I'll do my best to order more sun next time you will come... Best regards and see you soon. Patrick
“Nice, newly refurbished and clean apartment in a great location!”
First of all, communication and booking the apartment with Patrick was very easy and he always responded quickly. Before the trip he gave us all the information we needed about the apartment and how to get there from the airport etc. He was there to welcome us, showed around the apartment and gave advice and tips for example about restaurants. The location of the apartment is great! It is easy to access from the airport by bus and within walking distance from the old town, beach, the harbor, railway station etc. Also the tram stop is very close to it and you can rent city bikes nearby. There are great restaurants right next to it/nearby, Carrefour and Monoprix for groceries are very close too and the Cours Saleya Flower Market is a great place to get some fresh vegetables, fruits, bread and many things more in the mornings. The apartment itself is very nice. It’s clean and newly refurbished with a great modern kitchen, that has everything you might need for cooking on holidays. To be able to use the washing machine for the laundry is a great advantage also. There are air conditioners and flat screen TVs in the kitchen and the main room, which worked perfectly. The apartment was very quiet and there were no noise coming from the streets as the windows point to the inner court. The only downside is that you have to take quite a few steps to access the apartment, because there is no elevator (in case that is a deal breaker for you). We really felt like home during this holiday and would definitely recommend this apartment for couples, small families or group of 3-4 ppl. Very good value for the money!
Hi Jenni I was very pleased to see how rested you and Robert were at departure. You felt like home too. This is a great satisfaction for me. I'd like to thanks you too as you lefft the apartment in a very good condition. Of course I will be happy to receive you and your finish family again. Best regards. Patrick
“The Perfect Stay!”
My husband and I stayed at this appartment for 3 nights in July, 2013 along with our three children (ages 15, 12 and 2). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The appartment was perfect for our family. It had absolutely everything we needed (stove, micro, large fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle, coffee-maker, food storage containers, cuttlery, dishes, towels, soap, etc.) to make our stay perfect. The appartment has been recently renovated and the care and detail that the owner put into the renovations was easy to see everywhere. The location of the appartment was perfect as well, being right in Old Nice but right on the border of Old Nice and "new" Nice. It was within walking distance of everything - the beach, the market, grocery stores, the tram, etc. It was very quiet too, considering the location in Old Nice. The owner was extremely sincere and helpful, right down to the small details. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area. We loved our stay and would definitely rent this appartment again if we are so lucky as to be able to return in the near future! The only drawback was the 3 story (actually 4 story for fellow North Americans) walk up. It was a bit tricky with a stroller and suitcases but easily manageable if you pack light and want a good work out!
Hi Dhara I was very pleased to be able to receive your family and happy to see that you noticed I did my best with many details in the apartment in order that guest fill like at home. I'm also here to help you and give you all informations regarding what to visit, where to go and where to eat all around. It's a pleasure to help people having a good souvenir of their stay in our beautiful Côte d'Azur. Dhara I wish you all the best to your nice canadian family and who knows ..... may be see you soon. Patrick.
Very nice apartment (recently renovated and equipped with every comfort), very friendly owner. the apartment is at the third floor (no lift but for us wasn't a problem) calm but at the center of Nice's life. Nearby there are restaurants, supermarkets, the beautiful Garibaldi' square and the trolley stop. We recommend this accomodation.
Hi Claudio I was happy to receive Italian guests in my apartment during those 3 weeks. Happy too to see everything was fine and that you enjoyed your stay. If you need for future to come back. It will be a pleasure. Patrick
“Great central location and lovely, spotlessly clean, quiet apartment!”
Great apartment. Got everything you could possibly need. The owner was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating for my very last minute booking. He was more than pleased to welcome my quiet little dog too. Would happily come here for another holiday in Nice. Its in a great central location to see everything, on the edge of the old town, near lots and lots of restaurants and marvellously quiet when it comes to bedtime. Travelling with my uncle, we made use of the sofa bed in the living room. It was a very comfortable, 'proper bed' style sofa bed and with the closing door on the living room, privacy was no issue. Loved it. Thanks!
Hi Nicole It was nice to meet you and to be able to answer your request at last minute. I'm very happy you had a good time and enjoyed the quietness of the apartment. I will be very pleased to receive you and your dog again for your future holidays. Hope to see you soon. Patrick
Had a great stay while in Nice, the apartment was very clean and quiet too. Location is fantastic, because its in the old town close to everything you could need. I hope to come back soon
Hi Georgina I was very pleased to meet you and your 2 chief friends. I'm happy to see everything was fine and that you enjoyed your holidays. You can come back when you want. it will be always a pleasure. Patrick
“Year after year... a great place to stay”
We found this apartment several years ago, before renovation, and absolutely loved it. We returned the next year, and the next and the next! Beach, culture, great restaurants... and a real French city... are just outside the door. This is NOT a tiny loft, like some Old Nice rentals. It is a "normal" apartment. It is well ventilated, with large windows. And spotlessly clean!
Hi Steve. It was a pleasure to have you as a renter every years during those 6 past years. The renovation of the apartment is now finished. Everything is new ( the Kitchen, a new large dressing/cupboards, an independant lavabo and I add a 2 Splits' Air Cond/Fan/Heater to increase the confort ). I will be pleased to receive you again in this apartment you love. See you soon. Patrick
