Charming stone cottage, in quiet wooded surroundings situated close to the banks of the River Aven, and a short walk to the beach.

POSITION:

Just 80 yards along a woodland path to a sheltered Pouldon creek on the Aven estuary, where you could launch and keep a small boat, and where there is a secluded sandy cove, and slightly further to main beach of Port Manec'h, with its sailing schools at the mouth of this very pretty estuary.

About 500 yards to the harbour, local shops, restaurants and tennis courts;About three miles from Nevez for all your shopping needs and restaurants;Five miles to the pretty artists' town of Pont-Aven.

Quietly situated in an exclusive residential area amongst woods and backing on to fields, the house stands in a very attractive garden well stocked with flowers and shrubs and with a lawn sloping down to small wood at the bottom.

There is a big stone paved terrace with garden furniture and barbecue.

ACCOMMODATION:

Tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished to provide spacious accommodation.

The open plan living room, with french windows opening onto the terrace, has a sitting area around the fire-place, dinning table and chairs and modern, well equipped kitchen area.

WIFI, satellite TV and video.

Also on the ground floor is a laundry room, separate wc and double bed room with ensuite bathroom and french windows onto the terrace.

Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and separate wc.

1 cot and one high chair are available.

Thank you for the time you spend for this very detailed review. First of all we are happy that you enjoyed the location of our holiday house. 1. The equipment is detailed on our TripAdvisor page and on our site; all of the items were present thus we think that you were provided with the expected level of the equipment; incidentally we never had complain about this level. 2. Regarding the comfort of the sittings and the sofa, you mentioned “other reviewers”; In fact they talked about a previous sofa which was turned into a 3 seat leather sofa in April 2016. Our family and our guests use it and everybody appreciate the quality and the comfort of this high standard leather sofa. 3. Improving lighting and bedding. OK 4. The story of the pillow is irrelevant because the agent changed it over immediately so that you spent no night with this thing. 5. The noise of the double bed is mysterious; nobody had to abandon it neither before you nor after. 6. It is incorrect to say there are no curtains upstairs; there are VELUX windows equipped with dark green adjustable curtains. 7. It is true that there are no carpets and rugs and there never will be; it is not convenient at all in a seaside holiday house; downstairs is tiled and upstairs parqueted. 8. The oven is 1,60 m high and we admit it may be too high for some people. 9. We have nothing to reply to the other criticisms because they concern your own personal taste. Finally we want our guests to enjoy their stay in our holiday house as we do, thus we take into account the suggestions of our guests including yours when it is possible. We would have appreciated that you contact our agent or ourselves during your stay and to be present during checking out; but you left before the arranged time. On our side we noticed some unpleasantness you let behind but nevertheless we fairly reimbursed the whole deposit… Bernard and Marie

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Bernard (the owner) a message.

If Bernard (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
