STUNNING STYLISH SKI CHALET, RIGHT BY A SKI LIFT

Chalet Husky, is a stunning, stylish chalet situated next to the ‘Les Coches’ bubble, Chalet Husky commands impressive views of the piste and Montchavin snow-front.

Using slate, timber and local stone, Chalet Husky has been artfully designed with contemporary fittings and fixtures to create a classy chalet home. The chalet is laid out over 4 floors, with 6 spacious bedrooms each with a wardrobe and twin beds that can be combined to make a double; a huge open-plan dining lounge area; a TV snug and a hot tub on the balcony, with truly fabulous views.

The outstanding feature of Chalet Husky is undoubtedly the amazing lounge-diner/kitchen on the top floor. The ceiling has been heightened to give a real feeling of space; the beautifully crafted wooden beams offer that essential alpine character of a ski chalet; and guests will be wowed by the views from the large dual-aspect windows (overlooking the piste in one direction and Mont Blanc in the other).

Situated in Montchavin, which together with Les Coches makes Montchavin Les Coches, (one of the 10 resorts that make up La Plagne), Chalet Husky is opposite the Evolution2 shop (ideal for ski school and ski hire) and a few minutes walk from the resort centre with its shops, restaurants and bars.

There is secure underground car parking (2 spots), plus everything else you'd expect form a top-end chalet holiday - free wifi, roaring log-fire and plenty of comfy sofas.

FLOOR PLAN

Sleeps 12 – 14 in 6 bedrooms (3 double/twin ensuites; 1 family room with a double/twin and bunkbed) and 2 large bedrooms that share a bathroom.

Each room can be made up into a double or a twin.

You can rent all the bedlinen (duvet covers, sheets, pillow cases, towels, hand towels and bath mat) for 15€pp.

Pillows and duvets are supplied.

The hot tub is available at 150€

OUR SERVICE

During the winter ski season, the chalet is managed by Alpine365, a tour operator in its 13th year.

We are offering Chalet Husky as self-catered for Winter 2020/21 but you can add meals from a professional chef with breakfast, afternoon tea and 4-course dinners, with complimentary bottled wine at dinner.

COVID-19 CERTIFIED CLEANING

We are committed to following and adhering to the Covid-19 Cleaning Protocols which include:

– Our cleaners wear a mask and protective gloves

– We have removed books, games, cushions and unnecessary objet d'arts to limit the propagation of the virus

– We follow strict cleaning and disinfecting standards

– We have paid particular attention to high frequency touched surfaces

– We leave you a cleaning kit with essentials to use during your stay

ACCESS TO SKIING

Chalet Husky has an enviable position, being both in the centre of the village, but also being right next to a ski lift – the “Coches” bubble-lift is a literal stones throw from the chalet.

So in the morning, it’s a (very quick!) walk to the lift to whisk you up into the skiing. And in the afternoon in good snow cover, you can ski back down to Montchavin and cut off to Chalet Husky, meaning you can ski back to within about 10 metres of the front door (or to the bar opposite the chalet if you prefer…). And all on a blue slope.

And if your legs are a bit weary after a long day on the mountain you can even take the bubble lift back down to the chalet.

YOUR HOLIDAY EXTRAS

We are an independent, family-run business and we make sure we go the extra mile to ensure our guests have a great holiday.

Before you arrive, we will have been in touch with you to organise and pre-book all your ski holiday extras such as airport transfers; lift passes, ski school and ski hire, as well as childcare and checking on any dietary requirements or allergies you may have (for catered guests).

Before your arrival, I will send you all the information you need to find the chalet, parking spaces, directions and how to enter the chalet. We can offer discounts on lift passes, pre-order them and deliver them to the chalet before you arrive - so please ask in advance! We will also send you information on ski lessons and discounted ski hire. We can also provide recommendations for babysitters, restaurants and provide a chef if you don't feel like cooking (extra charge). In the chalet, there is plenty of information about all the activities available nearby. If you have requested to use the hot tub (extra charge) in the winter, we will come into the chalet, clean and dose the hot tub with chemicals every day to make sure it is safe.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Duncan (the owner) a message.

If Duncan (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
